I'm looking at the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 and the first first line entering in to the law states
The objects of this Act are:
(a) to give effect to certain provisions of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and to provisions of other relevant international instruments;
The sex discrimination act outright states that it is to support women. The next part does state that the law is
to eliminate, so far as is possible, discrimination against persons on the ground of sex... etc
It blows my mind and it should blow your mind that the first sentence in a law that is supposed to support equality amongst the sexes states that is supposed to be supporting women.

The current Sex Discrimination Commissioner, appointed sometime in February 2016, has stated that her goal is to listen.
Listen to women from all walks of life on the discrimination that they have had to face. I have sent a tweet to her asking her, as a man and a citizen, to support both genders in her role. I ask that you anons do the same. Small steps.
