Learning from western culture isn't the same as being a slave to the west. Before Germany became an economic powerhouse, Germans were learning all they can from British industrialists and we're lovers of British cultures. The Germans then took west they can from the British, and improved on them. Now they' control Europe's whilst British influence is dying. China is the Germany of the 21st century.

I lived there for two years. China's a great but very unstable country which is facing gargantuan challenges that can make it implode. The most pressing issue is pollution and the housing bubble. entire cities are built with no one to fill them whose price is unfathomably high due to speculation. Heck, most of the chinese can't afford what's being built and they are forced to live far from city center in overcrowded commie blocks and rage is building up fast.

i won't cover the food and energy issues but they're here and are but a fraction of the problem china faces.
