I didn't know there were Jewish characters in TKAM?

I found the relationship with Boo and scout the best part about the book. Her dad dealing with defending a black guy and the trial was always a backdrop to me as a kid. Boo being this weird shut-in everyone was afraid of yet reaching out and giving the gifts in the tree was always the most interesting thing and what stuck with me.

I hear the sister or daughter rewrote this book or another version to make it SJW friendly and have her father less willing to defend black people or something.
