or maybe the balkan "slavs" - the ones under the turkish yoke for half a millenium and are genetically identical to native balkan populations?

or is it the russians - the amalgamation of vikings, finno-ugric peoples, tatars, fucking everyone?

As far as I know, it's a group of people with similar traditions, language and common ancestry. We don't have "pure Slavs" because that wasn't much of much concern until recently and since we live on vast land, we've become different from each other over time. We aren't even sure where we came from, some say Slavs came from central Europe, some say from east, some say we might be actually balts mixed with sarmatians (pure cringe).
Tl;dr: don't look for one because you won't find one.

To be honest I think that Nordic/Celtic/Slavic is just a meme.

Those had to be one group of people 11 000 years ago, but got separated. Now some were raped by mongols, some by arabs, some by mixed whites.
Almost everything is lost and now we are left with some "slavs", "celts" and "fin-nordics".
In my life I have seen maybe 3 people with pure blond hair of a color of a swan, but it had to be this way in Europe before since they do exist.
All posters here are somehow mixed with mongols, arabs and blacks. Sad but true.
If you are not 100% white-tier-blond you are mixed already.

Slav originates from the roman for for slave. The whole thing was made up for easy spreading of commie empires, you need to dig a bit deeper to find your true glorious roots fellow countryman.

People with ethnic origins tied to the Black sea and were once under AVAR rule.
As for the languag it's often attributed to Parthian and Scythian tribes (Avars were part of the Scythian tribes).
