>Rule 1. Get innawoods, that's the most important thing
>obtain a firearm and some ammo
>get 3 months of food and supplies
>convert a room or basement to a safe room
>prepare bug-out bags, contingency plans, etc.
>know your area, map out medical supply buildings, red cross suppliers, etc.

Doing even half of these things will put you 95% ahead of everyone else.

>move far outside of major cities to avoid fallout radiation/riots and mobs/starvation and desease
>move far outside of any nuclear power plants to avoid meltdown radiation
>stock up on at least 6 month to a year of supplies and have a source of water
>learn to farm and have enough land to farm for yourself (if due to happening timing you miss planting season you have a minimum of 6 months of food to stretch and get you to the next one)
>have some means of protecting what you have and a community to do it together against greater numbers
>bring family, friends and get a waifu, make baybu, repopulatu

Also, this should go without saying. But get fit, and learn some survival skills. When everything goes to shit you need to at least know how to live off the land.
