I loved how during and immediately after the election, everyone was saying

I like many other anons wanted and failed to make newfag threads to get them to understand our board culture and 4chan culture altogether, you know, what we've always done on all boards when theirs an influx of newfags.
Ironically, /pol/ should serve as both a lesson and warning for both other boards on how not to handle newfag influx, and also a lesson on culture shock and how the clash of cultures brings nothing but death and destruction.

That strategy actually works if its a small and limited number of newfags. But when you triple the board traffic in under a year and open a subreddit dedicated to funneling people into /pol/ indefinitely, you're just replacing 4chan culture with reddit culture. What's even worse is that most of them hide in the r/ptg circlejerk and never actually experience 4chan culture and just continue whatever bullshit they were doing in reddit.

It's like turning Paris into Algeria.
