I personally don't doubt the fact that jews died in German detention centers. I'm more of a revisionist than a denier.

I doubt the number of them that did or that there is a unique status for Jews in particular among the many groups of people that Nazis imprisoned being killed by them intentionally.

At issue is the numbers claimed to have been killed by jews that have gone largely unchallenged except by other "holocaust" scholars and which have consistently been on a downward trajectory over time since the 1950's.

"Six million" has shrunk repeatedly by Jewish historians themselves to less than one million at this point in official sources. And numerous claims about the holocaust in the immediate aftermath of the end of WW2 have been debunked over many years following.

What hasn't changed however, are the number of jewish "survivors" in the post-war years who made claims and received financial aid for the rest of their lives from Germany and the US.

It was a scheme to blow up way out of proportion, and there was a direct financial motive for doing so.

But most importantly, there are insane laws on the books in Europe making such talk illegal and prosecutable. No one needs laws to protect the truth if it is in fact, definitely true. That's a huge sign of immediate suspicion.

Hey Kraut, been lurking on this website since 2003, and I think the history of 4chan plays a pretty big role here.

At this point, I think it's impossible for a lot of the people on this board not to deny the Holocaust. I could be totally off the mark here, but I'm guessing it's essentially a carbon copy of anti-fa logic, just on the right. For the record, most of what I’m going to be saying refers mostly to /b/ and later /pol/, which is in some ways /b/’s bastard son.

4chan was always a place for a very self-pitying group, in this case mostly relatively young, middle-class, slightly above-average intelligence nerds to collectively complain about their perceived oppression as a minority group outcast from society in the Western World.

The community was self-isolating from the get-go, and among other things basically invented meme culture. After a few years memes that pushed a particular political or philosophical idea (mainly those in line with 4chan's original group identity) started to gain some traction, and the danger of memetic ideas, which are extremely reductionist by design, became a lot more obvious.

Over time the memetic echo chamber and highly de-individuating nature of an entirely anonymous community began to create a sort of self-justifying ideological feedback loop, and most of the users who didn’t fit the groupthink either migrated to less popular boards, became lurkers, became fodder for copypasta, or left the site completely. At this point (circa 2010), the site was the better part of a decade old, and a lot of newfags who were attracted to the site were just in it for the edgy humor for which /b/ had become notorious. While the group identity still held, an increasing number of these people were completely oblivious to the fact that a significant amount of the vernacular that had evolved on the board was originally ironic. This meant that excessive use of racial slurs and phrases like “Hitler did nothing wrong” stopped being about offensive humor for offensive humor’s sake and more about actual ideology.

Of course, a lot of people on /b/ still didn’t think this way, so some of the newer members who took this shit really seriously started posting on /new/ instead of /b/, and inevitably /new/ became /pol/.

So we’ve got a group of people who believe themselves to be an oppressed group within an oppressed group, and a non-negligible number of them were legit Nazi sympathizers. Here comes Antifa logic. A) We are absolutely oppressed. B) Oppressed people are oppressed by some authority. C) Therefore there must be some major authority oppressing us. Of course, this is false reasoning, but since A) must absolutely be true, they (like Antifa) had to invent an oppressive authority to justify C). Well, as a demographic Jews are among the most economically successful in the world, a huge number of prominent figures in the media are of Jewish decent, and many of us already agree that Hitler did nothing wrong.

Deciding that every misfortune that has ever befallen this “oppressed minority” was a Jewish conspiracy was totally inevitable. And again, the de-individuating nature of anonymity, combined with the echo chamber of a self-isolating community, combined with the reductionism of meme culture, did nothing but further enforce dogmatic devotion to this idea, to the point where /pol/ essentially became a cult.

Hell, for shits and giggles they even adopted a heavily altered version of the Egyptian god Kek to represent them. Once you’re deep down the rabbit hole of group identity and unwavering dogmatism, you get to a point where you reject anything that doesn’t follow the cult ideology and accept everything, regardless of how far-fetched it is, that does. Therefore all evidence of the Holocaust is fake because there are powerful Jewish people controlling the way receive information, and the conspiracy theories cooked up by people who think like us are much more plausible.

Even mentioning on /pol/ that you have Jewish heritage instantly invalidates everything you say from that point on, because it is to the minds of these people impossible to be Jewish and not be a part of this “global conspiracy” they’ve convinced themselves exists.

Yup, I know all about the Red Cross Report. It's a solid piece of evidence in revisionist claims.

The problem with the "holocaust" is and has always been math. The numbers claimed are always too high for realistic purposes of anything. But therein lies the rub- they NEED to be high or otherwise there's no real tragedy to sell.

Jews did WW2 in a very real, though limited sense in terms of the groups that were pushing for western powers to enter the war the most were always Jewish newspapers and jewish writers for mainstream newspapers as well as Jewish politicians and financiers. Hitler WAS very anti-semitic and anti-jewish and there was definitely a government mandated ghettoization of Jews in Nazi Germany. And worse, Nazi Germany was doing remarkably well economically at the time, so a lot of people were worried, especially diaspora jews in the US and abroad.

And a major claim from those pushing for war with Germany, especially in the US, was the threat to jews in Germany he posed, and that he would be dangerous to freedom or liberty more generally. But in the US especially, most people were A) white and a large chunk were literally descended from Germany (like a huge swath of the northern midwest is German) and didn't give a crap about this, and B) were generally anti-war and against participation without a good cause, especially after WW1 benefited the US exactly 0%.

So the idea of a genocidal attempt to eradicate the jews of Germany was a necessary lie in order to get powers like the US to go to war and even later justify the cessation of war once Germany was defeated (as many saw the threat of Russia then and there, and some, like General Patton, advocated for continuance to stop the Russians while American soldiers had good ground to fight from in Europe). The number NEEDED to be high to create an appropriate victim class that made the war worth something to vets in it. They got to feel like heroes for stopping monsters.
