Why are Preppers not accorded the respect that they deserve - the feckless and stupid that pour scorn upon them are idiots that live in the moment.

Everyone owes it to themselves to be responsible for their own survival in any event and not to be reliant on suckling off the government tit.

Preppers have the right idea but they're generally all going to die anyway because they're antisocial loners. One man alone isn't going to hold the farm against the zombie hordes sweeping the lands looking for gibs and malt liquor. Doesn't matter how many bullets you have, or how many guns you've bought, if you're the only one to fire them. You have to sleep sometimes.

Without building an entire community, together, who'll watch each other's backs they're going to fail. Living innawoods just makes you a remote supply depot with a low-level boss fight. Not a stronghold for humanity.
