Best place to start is the Gospel of Thomas from the Nag Hammadi scrolls. Or the Gospel Of John from the KJB. Both are hugely gnostic in style.

Depends if your understanding of Gnosticism is from an intellectual observation of the Nag Hammadi scriptures and commentaries on such, or rather what early Christianity was teaching, which is gnosis with the divine. The latter being something that Samael Aun Weors doctrine teaches quite clearly.

Gnosis is not making guesses over what is "most likely" but rather direct experience of the real.
