This is how you write a study. This is how you later spend life getting grants. If you produce non-results, you don't get funding because you don't get good publication and you don't get a high cross-reference index on your paper.

This is why there's been a lot of metastudies and reproducibility studies done lately that seem to show most studies are just garbage. Of course it's an open secret to academics who must know this is the case because they live it. Yet somehow the entire society is blind to this aspect of academics and everyone's bitten into the FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE YEAH poison apple.

Of course there's a huge counter narrative of how the "uneducated" (outsiders) must not question the results, especially in soft science where the bullshit rate is astronomical. There's a reason the Sokal hoax went through and many similar experiments since. You can fill a whole paper full of incomprehensible garbage and it will pass social science review processes.

But don't you dare question science! You need to be the head of an ivy league to bring up something like that. You can't possibly understand something so byzantine as "perverse incentives" and "financially encourage to produce results".
