I think it's fine if we import the BEST, but often times we import people who are skilled but not that special. Like the engineering company I worked for had a ton of run-of-the-mill engineers from abroad who were just meh. I would obviously support poaching someone from abroad who is very advanced and can do things that people here can't do, but we're giving away standard engineering jobs and positions in the medical field that our citizens could easily do.
