In 14 hours or so, the Supreme Court of Pakistan will declare the current Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to be unfir for public service, following which criminal charges for corporate corruption and embezzlement of public funds will be laid on him and his family.

This will be the first time in Pakistan's history that a governing cabinet is dissolved using constitutional apparatus, with quite a few having been dissolved through implementation of Martial Law. It will also set a precedent for the state holding politicians accountable without the aid of extra-judicial entities.
