I support all the amendments that Americans enjoy, but some are long overdue for a serious overhaul. I would like to specifically discuss how to effectively change the Opioid Amendment.

The Opioid amendment should be changed to specifically say which drugs Americans have a right to take. There are no reasons for ordinary citizens to own assault syringes with a needle package larger than. 10 needles should be more than enough for treatment or self medication purposes. You do not need opioids for anything else.

I would like to see the opioid amendment specify a minimum age for drug ownership. Something in the range of 25-30. Opioids are deadly tools and only a fully mature adult should have access to them. Most mass shooters are in their early 20s. We would be able to prevent a lot of opioid crime with a minimum age for heroin ownership.

Add something to the opioid amendment that gives the government the right to repossess anyone's heroin for any reason. It is the government's job to look out for our best interest, and it would be a lot easier if they had the ability to take heroin away from potentially dangerous people.

Again, I am a Opioid amendment supporter but I think it is long overdue for some changes to account for it being 2017 and not 1791 anymore.

In the ruling on the challenge to the 1934 National Firearms Act, the courts ruled that the 2nd Amendment protects those arms which would be useful to a militia. That means all modern and man-portable firearms (including belt-fed machine guns) are protected. It could also be argued this includes anti-vehicle weaponry (AT-4's and such).
Further, the United States Code already defines all military aged males (17-45)as being members of the Unorganized Militia (the organized militia is the National Guard.) If you can restrict firearms rights, it shouldn't be against this class.
It is the government's job to prevent crime and such, but they typically don't, which is why we need guns.
