Ancient Egyptians learned about forces of nature from their ancestors. Some of the means of working with them were deified as gods with certain symbolic qualities or stories, for the preservation of such knowledge.
The frog-headed gods seem to represent beings that, at certain times, originate, as frogs, from beneath water, but then come to live on land.
The symbolic significance of living beneath water represents having no influence between the upper waters (clouds) and the lower waters (seas, rivers etc). The space between these two is termed in Genesis "heaven," and represents the dominion of power to raise waters from below and rain them down on land, which also represents social restoration.
The frog would be the first creature that arises from having no such ability to acquiring it.
Social restoration of our time is by knowledge, and the spread of it. Thoth is the source of the greatest knowledge, teaching of Light and the seven gods of all the Earth, which are the seven forces of life in all living things.
Kek is the force of nature, via the frog plague, that precedes and introduces Truth that begins to return the Light of such knowledge.
