Look, I get where you are coming from and to say NK threads pop up on a daily basis is an understating how big the fearmongering is.

Yes, NK has indeed been a paper tiger for decades, and it indeed served as an effective tool to distract from other news and as diplomatic pawn for the US, Russia and China.

BUT NOW they are only one year away from a reliable ICBM. That's actually a pretty big thing. They are close to being no paper tiger anymore. The recent missile test showed they are for more advanced in die process than thought before, and as soon as they have a reliable ICBM that can reach the US west coast this completely changes the situation. In fact it not only flips the table, it flips the whole office building with it. NK will be able to hold US cities hostage and make demands in geopolitics. They will be able to do moves like slowly getting back SK (e.g. like Putin did with Ukraine) without anyone being able to interfere.

This situation is a different one than it has been for the past decades. I see your point, but the times, they are changing.
