I'm sorry for whatever emotional trauma you went through during your early years anon I also grew up with an abusive family member who my mother later divorced he had tried to kill my mother twice, attempted suicide at our house, and was abusive towards me and my brother growing up around it I became so numb towards my father that his actions never effected me in anyway in my eyes he wasn't blood It hurt when I saw him hurt my brother though it was just the one thing I could never put up with. I believe what you say though love is love. You should fall in love with what you feel is right regardless of gender you only get to live once why not spend it with right partner.
