Can you guys help me tackle the 4 common myths that liberals throw around about the free market. You know the usual unrestrained capitalism leads to a neo-feudal society is my favorite one. So the theory goes that eventually one company will own all the land in the city and nobody will be able to own property only rent it. The thing I love about this one is that they don't notice is that by that standard we already live in a neo-feudal society through property tax. You don't really own your land if it will just be repossessed if you don't pay property tax. You're still a renter of that land except it's called a tax instead of rent. I feel like Capitalism has gotten a bad rap, Capitalism is inherently democratic and peaceful. It is efficient and promotes compassion by making people grateful for what they recieve from each other. Even people that completely hate each other can cooperate and mutually benefit from Capitalism. How are we supposed to teach this to the younger generation? I don't want children growing up with a poor strawed caricature of Capitalism, picturing Uncle Scrooge swimming in a pile of golden coins hoarding it from the starving masses.
