An Anon in another thread pointed out that this "tranny-ban" also serves the strategic purpose of trapping the democratic party in it's current identity-politic-based constituency, preventing them from reinventing themselves as the party for the "people" (e.g. poor people in the rust-best, lower-middle class, etc).

The dems have no choice but to jump at this for as long as it's an issue, considering that their core remaining base actually cares about it.

Is this Trump's true plan? When you think about it, the current democratic party is for minorities, LGBTQABBQ++, and people who hate republicans. Trump's already chopping away at their minority base, maybe this is how he deals with the gays and trannies. It seems he aims to have the party starve and eat itself, rather than burn it all down.

We've always been taught that the president uses his popularity to his advantage, but it seems like Trump is actually using his unpopularity to his advantage.
