Here in Tennessee I can walk down a public sidewalk with a Claymore strapped to my back. You'll probably have people ask questions, but it's perfectly legal.

I can also walk around with a pistol on my hip or a rifle slung over my shoulder with a fairly simple license. Just can't go in schools or courthouses.
