Follow these two simple steps to improve your experience here and avoid discouragement with this board.
1) Flag bad threads. This means you need to take a few minutes to read the /pol/ and Global rules (http://www.4chan.org/rules#pol http://www.4chan.org/rules#global) but once you've read them and know for sure what isn't allowed, don't hesitate to flag. The mods are quite responsive and I'm sure they appreciate the help.
2) Holding Shift while clicking the Left-mouse button hides threads. This is a very useful tool to sift out the pollution. The board looks so much better once you start doing that.
