I admittedly skipped through it but from what I saw he killed (maybe) one. The other two retreated behind the concrete slab and further tried to wave their hands. The guard approached and tried flanking them, opened fire on one and the other circled around the slab and returned fire killing the guard. The last two look like they got away clean.

It's the equivalent of a cop showing up to another department he's going to help and the cops there opening fire with their ARs when he was just armed with his pistol. They saw that situation and understandably tried to defuse it.
