Anyways they all seem like very nice people, but they're definitely cult-like. I went to a mass or whatever they call it with my parents. I was young so I don't remember much, but all I remember is they kept talking to us and asking us what we thought and kept pressuring us to go to more sermons, and my dad was finally like "okay fuck off. We're Catholic. I just went as a sign of friendship to my boss. Please leave us alone." And they did. You need to be very direct with them because they look for "lost and wandering souls" because they know they're weak. I mean, I get it, and it's very christian of them to want to help others, but it's a little much sometimes. There's also a lot of reformed drug addicts and alcoholics in there around here, and it just feels like it's another drug for them to push on others and soak up whenver they need it.
Overall, not a bad religion, and I'd rather live next door to JWs/LDSs than a fucking atheist.

If you want, get "Insights into the scriptures" its two volumes and already kinda old, but they quote tons of extra-biblical stuff to show how we arrived at our current understanding.

I wouldn't be so sure...there are mining pits around the great lakes that extracted copper and iron ore. There are altars that were constructed that match altars used by jews pre-jesus. The temples in Mexico show similar construction techniques to the pyramids in Egypt. We have found ancient barely in clay pots, which supposedly is not native to America. We've found (Albeit not carbon dated) iron weapons that show a similar construction to the swords used during the pre-jesus to post-jesus era.

There IS evidence. it's just usually tossed out as false without being examined more closely. I don't think the JW removed anything unless you're counting the Apocrypha. They just use their own translation. The Mormons don't use the Apocrypha and they don't believe it's necessary to read Song of Solomon but they don't remove it from their Bibles. But JW and Mormons both fall under Restorationist theology. I think Seventh Day Adventist, Church of Christ, and some Pentecostals and Baptists fall under this too. They all believe they're the true church that had to be revived after a Great Apostasy where the original church was lost.

Not from a Google or Bing search, no. I originally read up on it when I was debating a Mormon friend on the subject. It was in a book I checked out from the library.

There IS a YouTube video with a lot of these talking points with photos and maps from an archeology expert who was doing the same thing I was. But A. It's youtube and B. He's Mormon himself. If you'd like I can track down the video
