Shit went downhill after the Mongolians conquered the Song dynasty and established the Yuan dynasty. The Ming dynasty after couldn't reach the prosperity of the Song dynasty. The dynasty later got conquered by the Manchus and they established the Qing dynasty. After that they got over throne and communism took over.
