yes thats obvious but also granite of any type isnt even strong. its one of the softest stones. its like a 4 on the hardness scale. jade depending on if its jadeite or nephrite (both natural and counted as jade) are either 6.5 ish to 7.2

the difference in colored is probably due to paint many times over generations. soaking into the sand stone. they didnt have latex paint like we do now days. that shit wouldnt just stay at the surface

flooding happens annually that swell the rivers. simple to move water into quarry to float blocks. exposure to air is what makes them turn so hard on outside and difficult to move. but if you put them in water, they stay quite easy to work with.

You can watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1y8N0ePuF8 and see how this would be applied to building the pyramids with the same shit.

In layman's terms, cement.
Everyone arguing about the density of the stone are missing the other details. For example, how were they able to create perfect angles, with correlating radius the whole way through. Meticulous physical labor would never create something like this. Machinery in some sort of fashion was used.

Doesn't have to be aliens. It's actually more likely that the Atlantis "theory" is based on truth. A modern human as we know it today has existed for 50 thousand years. We know the history of man up to "the flood" that is mentioned in nearly all religious texts. There was most likely a highly developed technological civilization. We can still debate wether it was global or not, but that would provide a framework of why there are megalithic buildings around the world that share the same techniques
>>
>>134906276

Just because you don't understand how they did it doesn't mean they didn't do it or it is in anyway non-feasible

you have to remember you're looking at an ancient time period, we know relatively very little, it's not like they kept a indestructible record of their processes. they likely thought their civilisation would live on forever and saw no need to document how they did things, it was just passed on through generation to generation. just like they never documented how they built the pyramids in detail.
>>
>>134910985

It's called poetic exaggeration. However giant floods have occurred in the recent past. (10K years) the flooding of the Mediterranean is one, where most of the human population existed at the time. The Persian Gulf also did not exist 10K years ago. It's relatively new geographically thinking.
If a global flood occurred (or what you thought was global) you would want to share the story forever. Thousands of years later, people will still share the story, just a little skewed.

This is beautifully thought-through and illustrated and would work very nicely if they had access to giant-sized plastic tubing, and the mass of the planet was lowered, to diminish the force of gravity. Water is heavy stuff - the elevator-aqueduct is a lovely idea but trying to contain a column of water in a brick elevator shaft up even a very modest height, never mind the pyramids, would be effectively impossible. The outward pressure on the structure would be huge, and it would be in tension where any masonry structure is all but useless. The pressure on the magically sealed gates would be huge even for a single section and the seal would have to be absolute and airtight, both at the gate and through the stones and mortar - if any part of the shaft breathed even a little there would be constant loss of water. There would be a huge daily loss of water simply to evaporation, and all of the losses would have to be carried up the growing pyramid. It's impossible in oh so many ways but it's a beautiful conception.

This stone is probably 1.8 tonnes and would have taken 60 people a week to move it a 3 feet. Even with modern diamond carbide adamantium hyperdrills and titanium sonic grinders it is still impossible to split a stone of this size and density.

And you expect me to believe you can take a rock that's round, give a caveman stone hammer, then presto bango its square all of a sudden. WHAAAT!?!? wha wha what? Those are two completely different shapes, idiot!

So what, you just take some copper and throw it at a rock and all of a sudden you got a pyramid? What are you trying to sell me here? You think I'm a fucking schmuck? How about I come over there and kick your grandmother in the asshole.

Peruvian architecture had nothing to do with Aztec architecture, they are not similar in any way.

Aztecs build pyramids and floating islands with bridges and passages called chinanpas, Peruvians built cities high in the mountains by building terraces directly onto the mountain slope with huge polished stone blocks.

Peruvian architecture was anti-sismic, Aztec architecture was not.

There were certainly classes of artisans, etc. who weren't slaves. There were also people who thought the leaders were Gods and worked willingly.

But you are fucking Insane if you look around the ancient world and think people voluntarily quarried and transported all that stone. That's not like artisan's work, that's slave work. And it would have required too much man power to assume that there were no slaves all because you found one or two depictions and a few medically treated leg bones.

The historians hate the idea that Egypt (the only real gem of "African" history) were also slave drivers, so they find one or two pieces of evidence that there were classes of artisans who weren't slaves and they jump to the conclusion that there were NO slaves.

Just look at the type of work being done and the time it was being done in. I'll wager there were slaves involved 99 to 1, we simply don't have the information to ever rule it out either, and a few medically treated or higher class skeletons of artists don't fucking carry that burden sorry.

I hear historians say this shit all the time and I've looked at their evidence and it's bullshit. All theory and assumption. People will believe any fucking thing if it has the right authoritative trappings.

The sad thing is that I have real questions and these people's bullshit keeps me from asking in full confidence.

For example, how did they line the Great Pyramid upon the cardinal directions? Would they have even known the significance of the cardinal directions? How? or did they know the Earth was a sphere already? My understanding is that they had very little bearing on their location etc outside of the Nile River and the lands and seas surrounding it fairly closely. How does one get a grip on the directions with such a small seemingly flat world? If they used the stars, in order to understand the significance of true north etc. you would have to understand the shape and movement/orientation of the globe etc. right?

because if you grind up granite into powder and use some form of adhesive admixture, it makes concrete granite. Where do you think your granite countertops come from? You think someone is chiseling those out of some cave?

its almost a 100% certainty they used this as under a microscope its impossible to tell real granite from concrete granite. The problem is no one knows what they used in the admixture to make it work so well, b/c ostensibly they would have to be sun dried. whereas granite countertops are super heated in a factory to get them to set right.

I have a theory on shit like this. One of 2 things:

1) Ancient alien technology

or

2) There's a really big goddamn chunk of human history missing. A period of time where we were MUCH more advanced than archaeology leads us to believe and something wiped out that knowledge... war, plague, who knows.

Look at how we build shit today. If humans disappeared 95% of it would disintegrate inside 100 years. It also makes zero sense that science claims the modern day homo-sapien has existed for ~200,000 years, but it took us ~195,000 of those years to figure out how to make a fucking wheel.

>>
>>134919551

idk, if you look at the pyramids themselves, its very clear they used concrete, they wouldn't have been able to superheat all those bricks with bulky tools like lenses, i mean its certainly a possibility, the real problem is what the actual 'concrete' was that made it form so well it kept for thousands of years. we really do not know how to do that.
>>
>>134919627

Smarter than believing ayyy lmaos made those things. Go look at pictures of these things, often times you can see inside the crumbling statues, there's more than one type of material, often the base is made of large aggregate, then granite/limestone concrete with a thin limestone veneer.

the problem is ""Egyptologists"" would never accept they knew how to make concrete before the Romans. But look at their quarry's. you see enormous granite and limestone rocks smoothed out, left almost unfinished, i submit those were never meant to be solid pieces but were ground in ravine shapes solely for the powder.

Geologist here. Having watched that video in OP's post it seems at least to me that the egyptians have maybe developed some kind of advance cement technology in order to produce that layer on top of a more easily eroding rock (that is available nearby in big quantities). The top layer has cracks that are almost schoolbook-tier example of what is called columnar jointing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columnar_jointing

This happens when internal stresses, in a very homogenous solid matter with proper mineral assemblage (and crystal structures), grow large enough to cause cracks. Then other cracks follow weak points in rocks and by laws of nature it seems 120 degree angle is by which the rock cracks the easiest. The power for cracks probably comes from the temperature differences that arise daily between the dark outer layer and the material on the inside.

While it is a very interesting phenomenon, there is no magic to it.

Like said, it's probably cement, just not the kind your house's foundation is made of..

My understanding is that the scientists are basing the time frame (20-30 years) off of the notion that it was a tomb. And they are basing the notion that it was a tomb off of something or another.

This seems irresponsible. For example has no one considered that this site was meant to be more of a ritualistic burial location? Aka the body would be placed inside for a ritual period (determined by the stars most likely) before being taken to a permanent burial site?

This would allow much more reasonable explanations of a built-time in excess of 20-30 years.

Maybe lack of material available. Like I said, I suspect they used this thick cement for the outer layer to protect the inner rock that is more prone to weathering yet available in bigger quantities. It would be a really smart and efficient thing to do.

It's kind of the same thing with scalpels for example. You can make a scalpel blade from steel but you can also make it from diamond. Steel blade costs you 10 dollars while the diamond one is almost one thousand dollars.

I like all these energy theories but I cannot relate to them until someone is able to define what they mean with energy. I completely agree with thinking outside the box, nothing wrong with that. We just see things differently, at least in terms of rocks.

Also, Tesla had a profound understanding of Coulomb force so there is a huge difference. I believe the egyptians just had realized that different rocks and minerals erode differently.

Sad part is, I actually thought these were real archeologists at first. This is literally what professors look like today. Remember when you could easily distinguish the plebs from the learned?

The ancient civilization theories hold more water than ayys, only bease we don't have solid proof ayys exist. We know humans like us existed back then. However there are things like cultures in Australia worship a being that fell from the stars. It even pointed out jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus to these people. And this is more than a thousand years before modern civilization found it. Should we just not believe them?

Chemical and biotic weathering is also known to produce a very similar appearance. My guess being the area there were acidic components, would hazard to guess sulfur, that would cause weathering like this. Given the environment, the outside would be more resistant in these cases as the heat and sun exposure would remove the any hydrous component from the outside layer enabling the acid to continue acting longer within than without. Purbeck marble columns are an example of this but I believe they were from a biotic action.

This is, of course, just pure conjecture.

I'm not going to argue geology with a geologist lol. Stone was the medium of everything from writing to building for millenia. I wouldn't doubt a culture would learn about different types of rock. But the reason why they used the rock. That is the debate

Not true. An alien species could exist on the other side of the universe that looks exactly like us. Interstellar travel is the debate on which terrestrial ayys could even exist. In the future, I am sure we will be able to develop technologies to do so, as long as we don't destroy ourselves with said technology.

There was definitely some ayy ball juice involved.

Don't forget the dogons of africa, who knew about a moon that is invisible to human eyes on earth and was only verified by advanced telescopes, before scientists did.

Information also given to them by their skyfallen God.

Well they could very well be extraterrestrial in origin, however logically the only way to travel FTL involves dimensional manipulation which would mean an FTL capable race would be extradimensional as well and could do shit like time travel.

What would you account the sulfur to? Surely the pyramids and the blocks were in current condition before large scale industrialization or traffic that could result in acidic rains. This thread is now pure conjecture.

I see sulphide-related weathering and crumbling every day at work and the video shows nothing like it, to be honest. But of course it's not iron-sulphides in he video.

Pic related, took it today.

Although FTL travel is faaaar into the future, we do have the capacity to send people to other stars. By making a multi generational ship it would be possible. Granted it would take thousands of years, but we could do it today. We as in the entire species. We have too many problems going on for this to happen any time soon though

Outside of the possibility of naturally occurring sulphur, I wouldn't have the slightest clue. Don't actually have an idea of the geochemical constituent of the source rocks within that area. Was only using sulphur as an example, obviously many more various types of acidic content could have been in their quarried material. Not sure. I am a petroleum geologist so sulphur was just the first thing that came to mind, as like you I deal with it all the time. Last few wells I have been on are reworks and now laterals of 1970's wells that are sour crude, and the foundations of the area area, around the tank batteries ect, are crumbling in a similar manner. It is in a dry area of Western Texas, so it is dry to arid climate. I am not sure you are not correct though reading on some of the concrete construction techniques that were attributed to the Giza pyramids.
