I'm a professional Amazon FBA SELLER. Many sellers, including myself are thinking of closing shop. Many have already. Jeff Bezos is literally taking control of every Wholesale item currently being made. Nobody can compete with Amazon. Even Distributors are worried because small retailers have given up.

Amazon is running a monopoly where now, as a business model, it's competing against and edging out ALL competitors.

The irony is that while liberals and conservatives agree on this, the partisan Democrats don't agree with is-- just look at the responses to the tweets. This is exactly why rust belt states are turning red.

Democrats aren't acting like the party of the people anymore; it doesn't help that the alt-right tolerates liberals and that there's scientific studies that prove that white males are the most psychologically oppressed group in studies now. The way Amazon has achieved its status is by taking advantage of a flaw in USPS.
Some organization calculated a few weeks ago that Amazon effectively gets on average a ~$1.40 taxpayer funded subsidy per package sent through USPS. Basically USPS charges a below market rate for package delivery. So Amazon sends packages in bulk to their hubs then has USPS deliver the last little stretch for a below cost rate. The last few miles are of course much more expensive per package since its not a bulk delivery. Amazon is really the only distributer that is scaled big enough to take advantage of the USPS flawed pricing like this. Amazon delivers a few hundred million packages through USPS annually. Thats effectively a multi billion dollar cost reduction thats not available to smaller competitors. Theres actually already a law on the books that bans USPS from charging below market rates for packages. Before pushing for an internet sales tax, Trump should really just look into bringing USPS in line with the law. Or even better would be to privitize USPS and let the new stakeholders duke it out with Amazon

They turned a profit last year but thats not ay all typcial and it was more due to financial quirks in FY2016 rather than USPS suddenly being a robust organization. And even with a technical "profit" they still have deep fiancial problems.

But the point with Amazon is that they are piggybacking off the infratructure of an organization that is not truely market facing. Package delivery is underpriced by USPS and Amazon is the only company that is big enough to take advantage of it. Amazon's march toward monopoly status is made possible by this. If USPS had market pricing, Amazon wouldn't be able to undercut other retailers and distributers so easily
>>
>>134838045
>using a laws wording or context sneakily against the meaning and intention of the law.
That's not what "loophole" means.

The legal term "loophole" is based on the actual meaning of loophole which is the little slits you shoot arrows out of in castles. Taking advantage of a "loophole" or "small opening" in tax law is 100% moral and acceptable and is routinely advised by the government to do so. In fact, the government often puts those loopholes in the law on purpose to give a narrow course of action they expect individuals and corporations to take. "Loophole" has gained an ugly connotation because for outsiders it's seen as something devious and underhanded when it's simply the proper application of the law.

Tax avoidance is as American as apple pie. Entire government initiatives are driven by tax avoidance (cash for clunkers, sin tax on cigarettes, etc). When laymen like you read "loophole" you assume underhandedness when none necessarily exists because you're grossly misinformed.

>reselling shit

This is why I got out of retail and into manufacturing. I now sell to amazon, or FBA my own products with killer margins.

But yes, I do hate amazon and major retailers. They're not just a threat to other retailers, they hold far too much leverage over manufacturers too. I'd much rather have 100 $10k/year accounts than a single $1 million account which can fuck you over in a heartbeat. It's super risky as there's no diversification.

I wish we could go back to the days of small mom and pop stores but I don't see it happening. Retail keeps consolidating.

Why use Google, when you can use Bing or DuckDuckGo?

Monopoly can be about perception too. Much harder bring the case to court, probably.

If trump ends up dead, every single person or company he targeted suddenly goes under a microscope as a possible motive. that would only help us, ironically.

I paid for prime and my shit never came when it was supposed to. Honestly it's probably a scam to big to fail. Say it's 2 day shipping and just give it standard, blaming it on the US postal service

the absolute madman.

I worked at amazon for a year and it is a soulless literal faggotverse based in the NWO headquarters. I wish I was lying, but this was my perception.

On paper it is a career, that is until you see nigger girls crying about being wrote up when they can do little other than work while sandniggers get promoted and rewarded for cheating and lying. Lots of gay propaganda everywhere as well.

Good job trump. Btw everything there is made in china or Vietnam. Amazon profits off of slave labor are likely insane. It may seriously be the only thing keeping the Chinese bubble from bursting.

Amazon is owned by a degenerate leftist half-spic who uses his shekels to fund leftist, anti-white causes. He also prevents redpilled items from being sold on Amazon. He's similar to Soros.

So Wallmart got replaced by Amazon as far as Chinese are concerned?

That's a good name for it. In previous eras, trust busters would have smashed Bezos to smithereens.

oh yeah. Amazon is a Chinese trinket dealership all the way. EVERYTHING other than the stuff made in Vietnam. Walmart is USA all the way in comparison even though it is pathetic.

They used to because it was only required for states where the company had a physical presence but it drew negative attention like this so they changed policy and now pay it across the country, even where they technically probably don't have to like before.
The washington post doesn't directly do anything to affect taxes for amazon like trump implied the last time he was talking about this so now he's changed it to them "distracting politicians" which is so vague and pointless so as to be meaningless.

This is pretty much just distraction for the masses. It's irrelevant to healthcare, tax reform, the wall, travel ban, everything, but trump loves a good twitter war and plenty of followers are happy to mob up against big liberal business and not pay attention to other shit.
>>
>>134836696
But he isn't actually talking about closing any loopholes, he's just using them as a punching bag to distract people.
If anything his statement implies that the politicians in congress would do something but amazon is somehow distracting them.

And if he is taking responsibility to close loopholes now that he's in a situation to do so then what about all the loopholes he uses? I mean didn't he say during the campaign that his use of loopholes was hillary's responsibility for not closing them? How about now?

>They treat employees like garbage in their warehouses. Bezos relies of government gibs
So like walmart?
>>
Haha this is very obviously an attempt to tear down one of the good companies we have.

For fucks sake if you can't compete with them, it's you who deserves to go out of business. You suck at what they do, deal with it!

Obviously, it's ok and really smart and noble when trump doe sit but and others are evil thieves :^)

From some of the reports I've read, worse. Amazon gets away with it because they spew liberal feel-good shit and are HQed in Seattle.

>>134854756
Conservatives don't really believe in free market...the theory only applies when the competitors fit their "ideals"

The monopoly, Donahld. Hand it over.
>>
>>134855325
Don't we usually disregard "treating employees like garbage" as liberal-feels bullshit?
So it's legitimate, or just if they're complaining about a company that spews liberal shit or is it just an excuse to stick it to a company we don't like?

Google was founded by two Jews

Google's largest institutional investors are all northeastern Jewish banks

Jews dominate the technology industry in nearly every sector at the ownership and management levels.
