this, if God exists then he was an omnicidal maniac during the accounts of Genesis. Think about it, he gets done exploding all of reality into existence, smashing super-galaxies of high-velocity celestial strata into stars, black holes, and eventually the colder bodies, bombarding them with elements created by long-dead stars and then, and only then, does the lunatic start creating the processes of life after this orgiastic creation party

it's proof that mad scientists inevitably get tired of their more creative endeavors and focus increasingly on the artistry of minute details

It's a teratoma. Basically, a clump of cells in your body get confused, and start to build all kinds of bodily structures in the wrong place. Sometimes the inside is lined with skin structures, so you get hair, sweat, and bodily oils (sebum) filling them. Sometimes, they grow teeth shit.

Truly the work of YHWH is amazing.

This really isn't so much an example of design. It is definitely interesting but none of the parts are obviously for some sort of purpose. Interaction between snowflakes and anything else is very simple or haphazard.

Compare that with the molecules within a single cell, nevermind the entire systems underlying multi-cellular organisms. Suggesting orders of magnitude in complexity with each component serving a specific function in the context of the larger system. In otherwords : purposeful.

Snowflakes are, again, interesting. But they don't have signs of design, only order.

Maybe it's actually not that amazing that something that small is a living, functioning organism and our perspective is just warped because we are such vastly complex organisms and life is just normal to us.

Maybe that is also why it is so hard for humans to grasp that we are actually vast communities of cells, ecosystems really and not just individuals.

>>134791933

The larger ones (mine included) could break a smaller glass tank. If they are happy with the space provided, they will not bother the glass. I had her in a "larger" specimen tank (50 gallon), so she never bothered anything. However, If I were to attempt to put something that large in a 10 or even a 20 gallon, there is no guarantee if they stay in. She was just shy of 6" long.

the probability of amino acids forming themselves sequentially by accident alone was calculated to be something like 1 in 10^50 which would be like picking a single atom from the entire universe, and considering not even the earth nor the universe is as old as to make that probability more likely, 'unintelligent' design is highly unlikely

>>
>>134798659

It's a possibly genetics-based mutation that occurs in the middle of an organism's life that ignores the very safeguards every cell within its body was adapted to have to prevent exactly what cancer does from happening to the organism's body. Cancer typically affects older populations past child-bearing stage because those that died from it before having children never carried on the sequences that made the mutation more likely at that age group to the next generation.

But they're actually valid arguments. An example are maggots: they breathe through their rear end so they can eat and breathe simultaneously. Really wouldnt it be so obvious to put yourself in gods position and ask how we could design ourselves in a better way? The "intelligent design" isn't the actual life forms, it's the vast set of arbitrary laws producing them, how the action of the 2nd law of thermo, within its own rules, is able to contradict itself in building machines of increasing functional specificity, all the way up to being able to even conceptualize the idea of God.

The only evidence of intelligent design would be the fact that the sun and the moon are both the exact same size in the sky from a human perspective, despite being drastically different in mass and distance from earth. The ratios are PERFECT. A solar eclipse is fucking magical.
>>
I think you people have a problem with big numbers.
America was discovered 5 centuries ago. Recorded human history is around 5000 years. First hominids appeared around 2 million years ago. There's 1000 million years in 1 billion years. Earth is around 4.5 billion years old.
Hominids existed for about 0.04% of Earth's lifetime.
Imagine how many species evolved and perished in that huge amount of time. Countless species, that far outnumber those that exist today.
When you put things into perspective, they make more sense don't they. Random mutations in a very small percentage of cases gave some organisms an edge. Millions of random mutations later, you get something like what's posted ITT.

I don't really believe in intelligent design, but I don't believe evolution is fully understood, nor that it is 'random'. I tend to view the process of evolution as being a natural function of the universe. I think it's a false dichotomy, random evolution, sky daddy engineer; one seems to be missing something vital, the other is just ridiculous.

Nature is brilliant by accident.

Some authors have argued that flagella cannot have evolved because they can only function properly when all proteins are in place.[34] In other words, the flagellar apparatus is "irreducibly complex". This has long been debunked, because many proteins can be deleted or mutated and the flagellum still works, though sometimes at reduced efficiency.[35

No, atheists think the universe came from nothingness. The Big Bang theory only explains the moments after the universe originated, not where it came from and therefore is compatible with theism.

Also shame on you for thinking a complex infinite god with wisdom far exceeding our own takes pleasure in something as grotesque as a human fucking ass.

The thing I believe from Christianity is that God is a spiritual entity, not some man with a beard as the Pagans believe of their gods.

God instigated the universe, made a few natural laws and then sat back and watched. You know this is the only logical belief. We're here as nothing more than amusement, not as beings of perfection which is why some things are naturally shitty. Life is a mere test atheists instantly fail for thinking their little crusade matters in the grand scheme of things.

We are really so insignificant to any god up there that's it's not even funny. Atheists more so than anyone else as they live miserable lives, crusading against religion and failing for the past several centuries to make any significant change that hasn't led to social decline (I.e rampart sexual deviancy and parents deciding their boy is actually a girl).

Yes, and the notion that all evolution, including differentiation of species and sexes via random mutation from single celled organisms would not seem plausible; even if it had a really good story for the birth of the first replicator, which it doesn't. Nobody does, thus it is the domain of myths and legends.

Just curious, but how do Atheists explain the emergence of the first cell?

I mean in order for that first cell to be alive and start the evolutionary ball rolling it would need to have spontaneously developed the capability to do the necessary things living cells do, like eat nutrients, remove waste, and reproduce, just as the basics. But how could a cell on it's own spontaneously develop such abilities?

Seems to that atheists aren't even buying their own dogma at this point, I see so many of them latch onto this "simulated universe" crap. It leaves me wondering if they recognize the impossibility spontaneous cellular evolution, and hope to avoid having to answer that question by placing its creation in the hands of the great "video gamer" in the sky they all have taken to focusing on lately.

reminder that despite debates over evolution, atheists have the minds of children, obeying what (((they))) tell them.

Gode has to exist based on our understanding of the universe. An eternal God would have to exist in order for anything to exist, as in a absolute of nothing, you cannot get something without a supernatural force in play.

I have never seen an atheist or scientist explain this using science, and they never will. Perhaps one you enlightened neckbeards claiming there is no God could surely properly explain this with your endless knowledge.

For me it is its comple lack of falsifiability unlike in the case of Evolution. Let's take the discovery of DNA as an example. Evolution states that humans should have more genetic data in common with species with a recent common ancestor than with those with distant common, so if dna had shown we got as much in common with apes as we do with butterflies evolution would have been crippled forever. Now DNA studies show we got much in common withchimps, less in common with other mammals and even less in common with reptiles which goes well with the evolutionary theory on the development of life.
ID on the other hand could say genetic similarity points towards the same creator sane design and dissimilar DNA shows we were created differently.

Sounds convincing on the surface, but there was no doubt scaffolding there once, some part that was there before the organism got those inter-dependent parts. Then, once those parts proved better than the 'scaffolding', mutations were made that removed the scaffolding and voila, you've got a creature with apparantly impossible-to-evolve mutually-dependent parts.

But you aren't talking about intelligent design or evolution, you're talking about abiogenesis.
It's perfectly possible something set things in motion and the rest just followed by inertia (evolution).
It's also perfectly possible (as demonstrated in experiment you dispute for some reason) that life appeared on it's own.
But here we're talking about evolution, not beginnings of life, ''this spider looks like this so God must've created him'', do you get the difference?

>LOGOS
>"En archē ēn ho Lógos" - John 1:1 in Greek
>"In the beginning was the Word"

Logos is the Greek word for "Word". From it our word logic derives, so you understand it means not just "word" but denotes a "reason" and "regular order".

"En arche" in Greek or "IN PRINCIPIO" in Latin means more than only "in the beginning of time" but also "as principle" and "as foundation".

So combining these two, we have that "the first principle of creation has been created with regular order. Now this 'order' is closer to the Platonic ideal of the Good than some mundane thing. It is the principle with which everything spiritual and material is made. The Good that has all 'goods' in it and is superior to it.

Now this very same Word, this Platonic idea of ideas became flesh: it was born in the person of Christ. This is essential to Christianity: the very divine foundation of all creation came to us and lived among us. And was crucified and resurrected.

As brief as I can be, but possibly not clear enough since it's a difficult subject. You've got to read some Plato if you haven't and google "Logos doctrine" after.

Just not finding more primitive lifeforms in lower stratas and more advanced lifeforms in higher stratas.
Humans being found alongside dinosaurs.
The Pilltowman being real.
Faunas pointing towards separated development for millions of years, not a recent common origin from the ark. Case in point, unique animals of Australia who would get rect by any mammal population finding its way there.
There being no fossils showing species evolving into something different, like no whale fossils with legs showing an origin at land.

evolution is the contemporary idea that creatures turn into completely different creatures and that all creatures have a common ancestor and that multicellular organisms evolved from single cell organisms. if that were the case then evolutionists would have to argue and demonstrate that single celled organisms can form on its own

Tehn read about how Freemasons believe Christianity is a bastardized version of the Mystery Schools.
In which the Word was Aum, and the Word that became flesh, refers to the big bang, turning into man.
They also believe they are the Word, and the Word will become spirit (They wanna be God).
This is wtf they are referring to.
They call it the Word, that became flesh, that will become spirit....and they're not talking about Jesus, but themselvees.
This is what they mean by the Great Seven Days' Work....becoming Gods.
In reality, like everything else they have it bass-ackwards....THEY ARE THE BASTARDIZED FORM OF GODS' MESSAGE.
And most people follow them now...just like the Bible said would happen.
>>
>>134805805
Why can't they just say god made the cell and left the rest to evolution?

Why not? Randomly keyboard pounding monkeys can produce the works of shakespeare, a deck of cards left in the wind long enough can form a house of cards. No reason why a asexually dividing organism can't mutate into sexual dimorphism with every little step on the way being not only viable but beneficial.

Freemasons, the modern perverted ones, live by "ordo ab chao" (order must be created from chaos, which is at the root of everything) a complete opposite of the Logos doctrine (everything created is made from order). Of course they themselves then will create order from chaos as if they were gods, enlightened by their own wisdom. So to them 'chaos' is at the root of all existence, but for Christians it is 'logos' and 'order'.

Now see what the masons did in the French Revolution. Kill the king, create chaos and install your new ruler. Liberté, Egalité et Fraternité is their motto. Because to them man is created randomly, chaotically and different, which is unfair, so they will impose their order, their idea of justice. Violently ofcourse because it goes against nature. And to this day this mentality is at the root of SJW thinking, among other things.

Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said,
“Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart,
and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell.
But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine.
This means that God can legally dismiss their case:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift.
Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.

When, long ago, the gods created Earth
In Jove's fair image Man was shaped at birth.
The beasts for lesser parts were next designed;
Yet were they too remote from humankind.
To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man,
Th'Olympian host conceiv'd a clever plan.
A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure,
Filled it with vice, and called the thing a Nigger.
