In reality we don't need to live as harshly as they did in the past. But it doesn't mean that the principles of the past no longer apply. Values still need to be upheld. Work still needs to be done, and lives still need to be defended. The heroes of the past, the men who overcame violence and adversity did it because they believed in something larger than themselves, and it wasn't a world where men checked out and avoided the responsibility of being men. So accept the responsibility of who you are. be a man.
