But no other country ever even tried to identify and follow those principles. USA still has absolute freedom of speech, it still has remnants of the 2nd amendment while everywhere else is disarmed, it still has no such thing as political crimes. The US government has become statist. Other states never saw any alternative to statism - at least, any ideological, philosophical alternative, as opposed to a mere practical measure. I'm not saying it was perfect, just that it was the most moral state out of what we've seen in history.
