His entire character elicits an emotional response that straddles the line between pity and disgust, favoring one or the other at times. Brilliantly written character; not someone I would want in my life.

You aren't supposed to idolize Don Draper. You're supposed to respect his struggle and strive to do better than him.

Don is just like every other man, he has his problems, his struggles, but he also has some redeeming factors that make him complex.

I loved the first season arc, where he was so convincing as an Ad Man that he actually convinced himself for a moment of loving his family.

Legendary show - if you actually understand it.

This. Season 4 is where you really begin to understand Don as a character, season 5 is where you root for him to succeed, season 6 is where you realize he probably never will.
