I am aware of the vast german ancestry of the midwest, but can we stop larping as german empire 3.0 and establish a league of territories that prioritize AMERICAN values first? Preferably with a flag with a blue background with a pioneer (for the sacrifice and bravery of frontiersman) along with a tilled feild ( for agriculture) a buffalo ( for the ties to the history of the land) all under a starry sky or shooting star ( preferably the number of states in this league and the aviation and aerospace industries)? These things are central to midwest identity and are clouded by the incessant LARPing of people who are obsessed with 20th century german aesthetics. We must show that our values, though not unique to our own region, are exemplified by people of the midwestern united states. We should forge a new identity out of the shadows of both the german ancestry and primarily american identity that we all share, and become a collective of territories that prioritize liberty, perserverance, and honor/loyalty on every frontier. How about we dont shackle ourselves to the simple "midwest reich" , but instead build up a far more legit and american traditionalist movement that inspires and provides for its people.

I think this guy makes a fair point. Dixie has it's own heroes and symbols and doesn't just copy the Ulster Scots. New England, Deseret, even Cascadia are the same. The Midwest should recognize it's Germanic ancestry sure but I think you guys should take that as the chance to forge your own identity and symbols and build monuments to your own heroes. I think Midwestern secession is fine but I think the movement will have issues growing if it has to rely on Third Reich and other German symbols too much.
