Some just have it and some dont. Being intelligent helps but just being intelligent does not make one a good or worthy tradesman.

Best advice to everyone here is to get a trade job. Best decision of my life hands down. Hardly any competition, paid holidays, plenty of vacation days, you learn valuable skills, full benefits, and they pay pretty well for entry level. I chose the weekend shift (12 hours fri/sat/sun), I don't understand why everyone hates it so much. I have a fuck ton of free time. Who doesn't want 4 consecutive days off.
