Get a hydroponic garden running. For herbs/greens/various vegetables. Ebb and flow is probably the nicest I have dealt with.

Eat nutritionally dense food. Chia seeds translates to strength seeds. If you think about it, seeds start up a plant by having all available resources condensed into a small piece of whatever.

Meat and Dairy is a crap shoot. If you're okay with killing stuff maybe raising chickens or rabbits if you got the space. The other option is to somehow buy from a farm directly that isn't a commercial nightmare farm.

I want to say go to /fit/ to learn about proper diet, but /fit/ has been dogshit for years now.

Basically, eat natural foods. Things that are unprocessed. Cuts of meat, vegetables, fruit, etc. Avoid added sugar, avoid junk food, pre-fab meals, etc.

Some people take this more extreme with things like "no bread/wheat products" or no milk (rippetoe be damned, pbuh) but I think that's a bit much. Especially if you're trying to get enough macros to get strong.

Ok Faggots, thanks for all the good replies.

My plan is to use pic related to cook some grains (probably millet or oatmeal) for the entire week that I can take out of the fridge and eat with fruit, nuts, and cinnamon for breakfast.

Then I will use pic related again to prepare beans and rice as in the OP and keep it in the fridge for the week.

The rest of my diet I plan to round out with fresh fruit and frozen berries, steamed vegetables, and the occasional piece of rye/pumperniggle bread.

The only way you're ever going to have a good diet is if you learn how to cook because when you cook you actually know what went in to what you're making. You cannot get by on a diet that heavily features processed food and take out. Cooking your food will also save you a shitton of money over time while giving you bigger nutritional bang for your buck. You don't need to be Jacques Pepin, but some basic techniques like how not to overcook meats and what herbs/spices work well together will go a long way.

Second, throw out the food pyramid, it's a load of crap and it's pushed by the same faggots who bought the Bernays breakfast meme. You're probably right about the carbs but it's just sort of how I was raised, I like that traditional "balanced" meal sort of thing, it's like I could eat 1kg of chicken breast and no carbs and my stomach would start grumbling an hour later, or I could eat 0.8kg of chicken and 300g of brown rice/pasta and I'd feel great all night. Probably something that I could overcome with effort and just cutting out the carbs but not something I've ever tried or committed to. If I feel like I start getting an unmanageable level of body fat I'll definitely consider a change

I eat a high protein diet with nutrient dense vegetables, and fruits.
It has to be packed with healthy crappie if it's going to go in my body. I don't deal with useless foods that contain no nutritional value like corn, rice, or ramen. Plus I hate most vegetables and fruit so I try to get as much bang for my buck as I can.

Nutrient vegetables like broccoli, cilantro, spinach, beets, and romain lettuce.

Nutrient dense fruits like lemons, raspberries, small tomatoes, melons, mangos, papayas.

Healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil, and avacados, almonds, pistachios, walnuts.

Plus limited bread or only Multigrain bread. White bread is full of so much sugar, I lost weight when I went on a diet just by giving it up.

Lemons and broccoli should be in everyone's diet because they are so healthy. They do not exist in the wild and were wild pants domesticated and shaped by man.

There is a guy who comes in every month to sell his organic cows by the pound. I'm not really against eating meat, it's mostly a cost thing.

Anyway, I used to have some joint flare ups back in the day but nothing of the sort anymore. This diet is pretty on point and all the spices are anti-cancer as fuck. I also put a bit of cocoa powder in my coffee. My body feels awesome from this compared to before, especially with intermittent fasting.

Everyone above this is an idiot. There is no Right Diet for everyone. You need to learn about your cell biology, OP. Learn a bit about your genetics and blood type OP. This is important. For one, it determines whether you should consume dairy products. For another there are chemicals called lectins in foods. They will agluttinate your cells depending on membrane surface proteins (ie blood type).
