The borders aren't actually on the border line between Canada And USA. Usually you get raped through customs "give me your cell phone and pass code". Then after you make it through you can go to the actually country border.

Considering even Africans are coming to the US just to run across the Canadian border, not really. Heck, so are the Mexicans. They detained more Mexican border jumpers in the first two months of 2017 than all of 2016.
