I've stopped trying to find a job. I make some money making and selling wooden toys online and that's just going to have enough for me.

I have a degree in electrical engineering. A good degree, from a good college, and I have a 6 month internship giving good references under my belt. I'm not an autist, I'm pretty sociable, don't have anxiety, I'm fully capable of looking people in the eye when I speak to them. I was applying to jobs solid for about 6 months after my graduation, I got 4 responses, all of which were "no thank you".

One thing I was particularly good at in college was HDL programming for FPGAs. I got 91% in CA without breaking a sweat, 85% overall. So when I saw a listing for a graduate position at Xilinx, the company that makes the software we code in and the hardware we run our code on, I thought fuck yeah, I'm fucking well in here lads. Then I clicked into the listing, and the requirements was a list of about two dozen highly specialised skills and abilities that you'd be surprised to find even on a Masters EE syllabus. This being on a listing specifically looking for fresh Bachelors graduates, paying dirt money. I'd need to invest about 5 grand in training to get the skills needed for the job.

Society has made is abundantly clear that it neither wants nor needs me to do the thing I'm trained to do. So they can just fuck off. I'm not going to pay taxes, I'm not going to reintegrate, I'm not going to make nice with the cunts for the sake of society.

I was working as a warehouse slave worker and its a bullshit job. Cant go anywhere with it so ive decided to get into a trade. In UK you have to 'sign on' every 2 weeks to recieve your NEETbux, so they build up what is known as an 'unemployment register' (at least that's what it was in days of old, doubt it's changed).

They know your entire work history, how long you've been unemployed, and who is dodging and who isn't (except it's not THAT difficult to trick them into thinking you are looking because they are so fucking busy with so many claimants). They build their unemployment register based on this information.

If you are on a government sponsored course/work ethics education/whatever you call it, you are not classed as employed for the time you are there, because technically you are in education, so they ship large numbers of long term unemployed to these 3rd party providers and take them off the register, so they can get their numbers down.

I was unemployed after I left uni for about 6 months, you have to go to courses and things like that if you cannot find work for extended periods of time but the courses are short and the length of time before they're mandatory is long, so that doesn't explain the vast majority of the unemplyment.
