Also, I'll admit I don't know about the details of the study of intelligence but the fact that they have to make new tests because the average IQ score on old tests was too high suggests that any attempt to use IQ to claim people are becoming stupider doesn't make sense.

It's specialisation.
When you live in small groups, everyone in the group needs to know how to do virtually every task related to survival. How to hunt different animals, how to prepare them and cook them, how to skin them and make the skins into leather and clothing, how to start and maintain fire, how to create shelters, how to create and use all the different types of tools, etc.

When you live in larger groups, individuals start to specialise. One group hunts, one group fishes, one group makes tools, one group makes houses/homes, one group farms. The amount of different skills you need to master to survive is reduced, so the need for large brains is reduced.

Anyone with an education spoke Greek, Latin and Hebrew, in addition to their native speech, because these are the languages the original Bibles were printed in. They'd also be well-versed in the histories and classics, as opposed to listen-and-repeat textbooks, nihilism, consumerism, critical theory, deconstructionism and moral relativism.

People are getting dumber, and it's not because not enough people are dying in infancy, it's because the society in which we live, the common world order, has a vested interest in a small-minded and easily deceived populace, with no real education or ability to think critically, or actively search out their own answers to questions.

My "teachers" ripped me away from the history books to shove shitskin and jew propaganda short stories in my face. "Education" is the problem for sure. Most topics are drawn out to justify all the make work positions of the modern public school, so you're forced to proceed at a snails pace. The info is all scattered and you don't get to learn what interests you. The obvious propaganda in the curriculum gets smart kids to shut their brain off and ignore the world.
