Interest rate are set to rise, not immediately but soon, in the view of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
Rates more likely to go up than down: PM

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull warns the high levels of household debt poses a risk to the economy. Vision courtesy ABC News

>Speaking at the Melbourne Institute economic outlook conference, Mr Turnbull said his reading of statements from the Reserve Bank was that "rates are more likely to go up than down, clearly".

>The Bank's cash rate has been 1.5 per cent since August, a record low.

Good. Where the fuck is aus pol. Maybe we should pay that gook a couple of dollars a day to make it for us.

It'll be pretty fuckin funny when the cunt crashes and the libs get booted out and they'll be back to blaming the ALP about the fucked economy. You can bet every cunt who is overleveraged on debt is a fucking lib voting poofter cunt.

It's inevitable, I kind of feel sorry for two of my friends, they bought a shitty house for close to one mil 2 years ago and they recently had a child, they are going to get rekt by an increase in interest rates.
>>
>>134288268
Jokes on you, i will never even afford a deposit for a home loan

Do you not have possibility of fixed interest loans?
Besides if interest goes up so does inflation and wages.
If it's bad enough house prizes may fall or stagnate. But that should leave room for 1st time buyers.

I think this is wishful thinking as always

Hey guys, how are your chinks doing down there? Good? Yeah, the chinks up here are great, too. You know how it is.
>>
>>134291400
Cunts here are so dumb they take out interest only loans, that is they only pay off the intrest over so many years, but if it goes up you will be totally fucked.
>>
Blame on the fucking gooks all you like but it's the cocksuckers who let them do what they did, Took their money, reduced their rates for foreign investors that fucking allowed this to happen. AUSTRALIAN people fucked us over.
>>
The worst thing it's the only thing keeping the economy going. All the infrastructure work in Sydney is being funded by stamp-duty on the overpriced real-estate, but when the shit goes bad we'll be stuck with 50+billion in half done infrastructure contracts.

Mining has gone to shit, all our manufacturers have gone bust we basically do nothing in this country now. We even sold a lot of prime farming land to the chinks so they just do their own farming for fuck all and we get no jobs out of it.

When America went sub-prime at least they had some economic acitivity to keep things going at some level along with the defacto world reserve currency. Australia has dollarydoos and sweet fuck all.
>>
>>134292006

Yeah you can't blame the gooks they'd be stupid not to get in on it, blame the fucking kykes and poofter cunts like the PM, member for the jew enclave of sydney and "former" goldman-sachs honcho.
>>
>>134292006
Honestly the chinks only nuked prices in the cities, I live about 2 hours out of Sydney and it's all middle age white cunts trying to get investment properties and shit on loan around here
>>
>>134292529
Oh yeh that's okay then I guess just move, stupid me for thinking there's a problem.

Housing prices away from the city will always be cheap and skilled work bleak.

Rates going up will push rents up, primarily in newer properties.

Idgaf, my mortgage is fixed for 5 years.
>>
>>134288268
The housing market is fine, the media is focusing on massive price increases, when the interesting thing is the juiced ROE because everyone is leveraged est. 80%. It'll take a lot for homeowners to be worse than before they bought the house. I don't have much sympathy for someone if they can't afford some of the lowest rates we've had. Raise rates and housing growth will slow down.

The Bubble won't pop until we have a recession or a market correction. And that depends on whether if China has subpar growth next year. If China is fucked, we are fucked. We are now inextricably linked with China. And we have a lot to gain if we play our cards right. Inevitably we will need ditch the US as China strengthen it's hold on the region, and forces Australia to choose a side. I hope by then, we will have nukes. We should aim to be the Switzerland of Asia in the meantime . Neutral when profitable.

A deal goes both ways.
The opportunist foreign investors holding a near monopolization on the parasitic household market are as bad as the ones who let them in to cultivate and breed.

It's a market ruined by the fabric which intertwines it together, a fine tarp of gypsies' hair and oiled rags.
I wonder what would happen if China keeps pulling out of Australia, when India comes knocking on their door as are tensions now.

You don't realise how much you spend on food only to waste it all, good advice would be to plan meals out. I was on about $300 a week and managed to get by but had very little to buy fun shit with. I was on a fortnightly pay schedule so that sucked for rent and all that. Keep in mind this is for sydney and me working part time so my experience isn't really useful here.

>>
>>134307548
Im on 250 neetbux a week at the moment. Getting a place less than 200 a week is a must, unless it includes bills, in which case go 200-250 pw. Food you can get super cheap, and it often the thing most people spend too much on. Lots of pastas, rice, and veges.

Obviously try and get a job to cover expenses. Even part time jobs with 10 hours a week is enough in a shared house setting.

The key is spending as little as possible.
