>One of the most plagued questions we get when talking about Fascism is economics, normally brought up by people still stuck in a liberal mentality and limited scope of perception, where everything is defined in term of social and economic policies, rather than principles derived from the notion of a singular Truth and Order that dominates the world. The variety of historic economic plans and practices maintained by various champions of our Struggle likewise distorts any comprehensive answer to the question. All in all we've simply answered people that economics are secondary, they don't matter in such a way as to be a fundamental and defining element of Fascism. The answer didn't change, however there is now a way in which we can describe this attitude to economics, and it's actually a word we've used repeatedly in reference to Fascism anyway: Socialism.

>Our Socialism, however, is not in of itself an economic system, it is not the Socialism of Marx and co and stands in direct opposition to both Communism and Capitalism. It would be more accurate to say that to Fascism, Socialism is the definitive social structure which is more comparable to the structures of Individualism and Collectivism, yet it stands in opposition to those two structures as well.

By biggest concern is that it seems very dangerous. I'm nervous that there will be an alarming (((article))) about absolutely genocidal whites. It's not meant to be an entitled question, it is just an open ended philosophical question. I think people should be allowed to pursue their self interests, within the framework of society. I think the natural state of man has hierarchies, and I am in no way in favor of anarchism.

I like the idea of National Socialism, in that it claims to protect the sanctity of the individual (if you don't like the word "rights"), while still creating a strong and unified collective society.

In a National Socialist society - If you want to own your own home, you can work and buy one. If you want to build a large business, you can achieve it through hard work and determination. You are free to your own self determination within society.

This is in contrast with Communism - where the individual is cast aside for the collective. You are only permitted to do exactly as you are told.

I just like to get a feel for the views of people in these threads. It seems many /nsg/ posters are vehemently opposed to individual rights whatsoever, equating any individual rights with the ideology of Randian Individualism and Libertarianism. I think a balance is necessary; Richard Spencer put it nicely when he said

I like and agree with that sentiment, but there's no intrinsic property in Man/nature/existence that guarantees this. These "rights" are granted by the society. I first started as a contractualist, so I guess some of it still bleeds into my political thinking. Of course, I think these should be safeguarded in a National Socialist society, but I understand these rights are a (and this might not be the best word, but I'm tired and can't think of a more suiting one right now) privilege granted by the People and the State.

In my eyes freedom should always be seen as a good thing, but not something that comes free, and not something that can be maintained forever. Freedom eventually always decays the moral fabric of society, but when a strong moral fabric of society exists strong state control is unneeded.

In my eyes the national socialists governments primary purpose is more of a temporary purpose than a permanent one. The goal is to revitalize society, restore our morals, break us from our nihilism, remind us of the importance of our peoples unique qualities, and renew our peoples collectivist spirit.
Once the government has achieved these goals the restriction of personal freedoms becomes far less important as people self regulate each other's degeneracy.

I am more of a moderate than many natsoc though, I consider myself a social nationalist. I think liberalism still has some important lessons to teach us that we should bring into our new society.

I agree with your reasoning - rights are abstract concepts, essentially being synonymous with state granted privileges. I like that the National Socialist system grants more individual privileges to it's citizens than other authoritarian systems. I also agree with you that the will of the individual should be in harmony with the will of society. For example - If your aspiration is to make a fortune getting people addicted to heroine, then society should have the means to prevent you from achieving your self interests. The will of the individual and the will of the people should be two edges of the same sword, working towards similar goals of prosperity.

The Roman system is goodish. My biggest issue with Roman governance in general is that their officials held terms for a very short amount of time. The dictator was a 1 year term if I remember correctly. Dictators need to have something closer to a 10 year term in order to enact the long term structural changes that ruffle people in powers feathers, but are needed for the long term prosperity of the empire. At the fall of the Republic the senate was so corrupt and incompetent that the empire would have collapsed in a few years had nothing been done. Augustus came in and reformed the entire system saving the empire for a few hundred years, but at the same time poisoned the Republican pool and they ended up with many despotic and incompetent emperors that followed after his death.

From my American context I would first reform the presidency to be a 10 year term with the ability to craft legislation that could be vetoed by the congress or senate with something like a 60%-70% vote. This should give the government enough power to reform the system as needed, but restrain it enough that it won't become despotic. I would also limit voting rights, but that is getting into other matters.

Interesting. Taking power away from the senate and congress definitely eliminates a lot of political corruption, but then it's a gamble on whether or not the President will keep his promises and create positive change in the country. A 70% veto vote would still safeguard the interests of the country in the case of a tyrannical despot who takes power and abuses it, while minimizing the amount of bureaucratic gerrymandering we observe in politics today.

As much as I enjoy this thread and would like to keep up the discussion, it's 2:45 am where I live, and my eyelids are getting heavy
