Trump wants Sessions OUT OUT OUT

Interview audio here: https://static01.nyt.com/video/players/offsite/index.html?videoId=100000005285371

> Trump: Sessions should have told me about recusal, ‘I would have picked somebody else’

> The president said Mr. Sessions’ decision in March led to the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller, a development that Mr. Trump said shouldn’t have happened.

> “Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president,” Mr. Trump told the Times. “How do you take a job and then recuse yourself? If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, ‘Thanks, Jeff, but I’m not going to take you.’ It’s extremely unfair — and that’s a mild word — to the president.”

> The president also blamed Mr. Sessions for his testimony during the Senate confirmation hearing for overlooking his meetings with Mr. Kislyak.
“Jeff Sessions gave some bad answers,” the president said. “He gave some answers that were simple questions and should have been simple answers, but they weren’t.”

Sessions has been a complete disaster

>War on drugs
>Asset forfeiture
>No leaker prosecution
>No Hillary investigation
>Going after WikiLeaks, Assange
>Takes job knowing he's going to recuse himself

Should Sessions just resign now that Trump has given him a public no-confidence vote?

>By 2005, he had left Hollywood for the other side of the globe, Hong Kong, where he became involved in what was undoubtedly the strangest business of any in his career— one that introduced him to a hidden world, burrowed deep into his psyche, and provided a kind of conceptual framework that he would later draw on to build up the audience for Breitbart News, and then to help marshal the online armies of trolls and activists that overran national politics and helped give rise to Donald Trump.

>The Hong Kong company Bannon joined, Internet Gaming Entertainment, sought to take gold farming to industrial scale by building out a supply chain of low-wage Chinese workers who played World of Warcraft in continuous, rotating shifts, battling monsters and dragons to produce a steady stream of virtual goods that IGE sold to gold-hungry gamers in the West.

>Founded by a former child actor, Brock Pierce, who starred in Disney’s Mighty Ducks movies, IGE proved that real-money trading was a sizable market, one the company claimed was worth nearly $ 1 billion. Whether it was a legal market was less clear. World of Warcraft’s publisher, Blizzard Entertainment, frowned on real-money trading. Many gamers hated the practice and considered it a form of cheating. They flooded gaming boards with anti-Chinese vitriol to protest farmers and their sponsors. Pierce knew IGE needed legitimacy. So he enlisted Bannon to raise capital, hoping game publishers would eventually agree to license the practice. Bannon pitched the idea that the currency market for virtual gold wasn’t all that different from its real-world counterpart— and landed $ 60 million from Goldman Sachs and other investors.

>Beset by competitors, IGE’s profits turned to losses. Then the company was hit by a class-action lawsuit filed in U.S. district court in Florida by an irate World of Warcraft fanatic who claimed that IGE’s gold-farming practices were “substantially impairing” the collective enjoyment of the game. In a bid to survive, IGE shed its toxic name, Pierce was forced out, and Bannon was installed as CEO of the newly christened Affinity Media.

>In a financial sense, the push to build a third-party business around selling virtual goods inside a video game was a disaster for almost everyone involved. Inevitably, game makers began selling goods directly to their players. Yet Bannon was captivated by what he had discovered while trying to build the business: an underworld he hadn’t known existed that was populated by millions of intense young men (most gamers were men) who disappeared for days or even weeks at a time in alternate realities. While perhaps not social adepts, they were smart, focused, relatively wealthy, and highly motivated about issues that mattered to them, their collective might powerful enough to wreck IGE’s business and bend companies such as Blizzard to their will. As he would later confirm, this luciferous insight gave him an early understanding of the size and strength of online communities, along with an appreciation for the powerful currents that run just below the surface of the Internet. He began to wonder if those forces could be harnessed and, if so, how he might exploit them. Affinity sold off its gold-farming operations to a competitor at a steep discount. But Bannon held on to a network of three large MMO gaming sites that the company had acquired (Wowhead, Allakhazam, and Thottbot) that were the hubs where these gamers congregated by the millions.

You're all hating on Sessions in knee-jerk conformity to Trump's whims. I had my doubts at the beginning, thinking he'd be a partisan hack like Gowdy, but he seems to be really trying to run a tight ship.

How is replacing a non-lobbyist with some neocon like what happened to Flynn draining the Swamp? Sessions along with Bannon are the only ones who want to stop most Nonwhites from migrating here. Remove him and it will be less likely that our immigration act will be repealed. Sessions is far better then anybody who's been in the AG seat.

Trump was a WWE star and a reality TV host. This is typical Reality TV drama. There's something in the works and this has to be a smokescreen.

Remember- Trump practically worships the Art of War. If there was this kind of drama actually going on, he wouldn't let you know about it. Like with Comey, Sessions would find himself isolated and/or fired.

>>
>>134264755
He already does. He's done nothing since firing Comey but look ever-more-guilty. The tapes tweet. Having Lavrov in the Oval Office. Spilling the secrets of our trusted intelligence partners. Ordering McMaster - an active-duty general, and chain of command is the only reason he followed that order instead of tendering his resignation - to lie to the press and say it was "wholly appropriate" (though the lie was, of course, transparent, as was McMasters' following-a-direct-order situation). Agreeing to meet with Putin at all. Agreeing to meet with so few people, a perennial request from Moscow's diplomats. Questioning the IC's assesment of the origin of the DNC and Podesa hacks. *Asking* Putin what he did, instead of *telling* him that there were consequences for meddling in American affairs and then proving it by producing a tablet with a live video feed of the two Russian diplomatic compounds and making Putin watch as the demolition charges were detonated. Telling Putin to btfo and leave the G-20 early instead of chatting with him over dinner later that same day. And then, today, saying that Sessions should have advised him (in November) that he would be recusing himself (which happened in March), betraying that he knew in November that there would be Russia investigation that he wanted his chosen AG to oversee. Rationalizing and justifying and normalizing collusion with an adversary.

Everything he has done has been a blatant indication of consciousness of guilt.
>>
>>134266126
It's blatant shilling by people who are afraid of Sessions not being a neocon.

>>134265979
You don't get it... the point is that POTUS can only stay in power with an AG who is willing to severly break the law. That's near-impossible to find. I literally think the only individuals who could be the AG that Trump needs to survive this consist of: Eric, Donald Junior, Jared, Ivanka. And that's it. And none of them would make it through confirmation, because Trump's guilt would be obvious upon picking any of them.

If Sessions is recused from the Russia investigation, he can't receive reports on it. If Trump is being denied something, he feels he is being treated unfairly, because he's an entitled twat that doesn't realize he shouldn't be sticking his nose in the Russia shit in the first god damn place.
>>

I believe Trump has a public persona which he dumbs his speech down for the masses using blanket gibberish. Trump also uses body language to captivate his audience in a sort hypnotic state and repeats phrases over and over. Hes a pure propaganda showman. Putin remarked Trump is a totally different person face to face and you can dig up some audio of Trump out of the public eye with some outstanding insight. Hes really versed in knowledge of whats going on behind the scenes and keeps it away from you and me.

With that said and the way Trumps administration all seems to have some link to Russia hes concerning me to say the least. I would be very angry if a trump appointed stooge that did nothing to look into the president himself. Im glad Sessions is a loyal patriot and loyal to the GOP. I hope its nothing but the coincidences just keep adding up as Trump looks guilty not only in his actions but the dirt that keeps surfacing from his past.
>>
trump is dumb for hiring such a simple traditional guy like sessions. he needed a hardcore mother fucker whos willing to put his life on the line.

the investigation itself is based on a lie (Russian hacking). the special counsel should have been disbanded months ago. it never should have been convened in the first place.

this was the plan from the getgo: demand a recusal from Trump's AG regardless of who it is and get a foothold in the DOJ

a DOJ with consolidated power and fully loyal to Trump is the most dangerous thing in the world for Democrats. thankfully for them their little hustle worked, but it won't save them in the end
>>
>>134272883
What dirt you stupid fag?
There isn't even proof that Russia hacked the dnc.
I'm going to stop letting you send me down the rabbit hole though.

If trump literally called Putin personally, the day before he ran for president, and said "I'm going to run for president and when I get in I will stop bombing Syria, btw pls hack the dnc"
Then that STILL wouldn't be enough to incriminate him in my eyes or in the eyes of the law.
And he didn't do that at all. Not by a long shot.
>>
>>134272759
Or hes colluding with Russia and wants to silence his own investigation. Sessions right the absolutely right thing reclusing himself here. Basically he wants yes men who are completely loyal to Trump not the country. Remember Comey? same thing.

I wonder what contemporaneous memos Sessions made.

desu Sessions probably thought he was 'doing the right thing' by recusing or some shit. at the time I don't think he saw the bigger picture or how bad dems and deep state were gonna just continue trying to fuck everything in Trump's cabinet.

At this point, Sessions should resign, say he has brain cancer or something, then Trump can appoint a new AG who can fire Mueller without looking like a jerk and we can move on ffs.

Dems will cry and scream treason and russia or whatever but who cares. just let them throw their temper tantrum until they pass out.

Trump hired Sessions because he was an early supporter and knows he is a true conservative and isn't bought out.

The problem however is that Sessions is old, weak, and not suited for the type of modern warfare necessary to win against the deep state and dems. He is from another time and is totally ineffective in his current role, and wants to act like a 1950s-era boy scout conservative. His heart is in the right place but he just doesn't have what it takes. Trump has undoubtedly expressed his disapproval many times and tried to get Sessions on the right track.

Trump is going public now for a reason. He especially wouldn't talk to the NYT about internal issues if it wasn't calculated. This isn't a nothing-burger. Breitbart and Infowars are running anti-Sessions stories also. Roger Stone can't stand Sessions. My guess is that Sessions will resign and Trump has someone else lined up now for the job. But of course this could be a smoke screen for something else. We all hoped Sessions was doing the rope a dope thing these last 6 months while he collected evidence and got his ducks in a row, but that seems not to be the case. He just isn't that sophisticated.

inb4 "work product, they're not his to share"

actually, protip, if you're an American, work outputs of federal government employees belong, obviously, *TO YOU*, which is why work products of the federal government are in the public domain. As they should be. We literally are paying their salaries, and you're saying it should be OK to be kept *from* us, the employer? There's only one scenario where that's justifiable, and that's for sensitive information related to national security or a then-confidential criminal activity, and that's what we have the classification system for. And even in those situations, the criminal evidence becomes public record at the conclusion of the trial, and national security information gets declassified on a predefined timeline. Comey knows very well how to write a memo so that it doesn't trigger any classification criteria. Those that he so wrote are in the public domain, and the only prohibition on sending them to anyone - media, a friend, posting them on /b/ - is the agreement that active FBI employees have to not do so or face disciplinary action.

Once Trump fired Comey, it literally became OK for him to share any of his unclassified memoes.

God, the God-Emperor is stupid. We're lucky that our would-be Putin is an intellectual toddler.

I think he is weak just due to age. Trump is kind of a freak of nature, but most men simply aren't what they used to be at age 70.

But part of it is due to what you say. He comes from an age of chivalry where the rules were very different for men. Today we are fighting a completely amoral, ruthless foe who will stoop to any level to win. Those on our side need to do the same and play the game as it stands today. Trump understands this. Guys like Sessions don't.

Sessions and other old school repubs are like the British regulars, walking in formation, dying for misplaced honor, getting sniped to hell by revolutionaries behind trees who will do whatever it takes to win.

I just read that Sessions has "announced a new federal policy Wednesday to help state and local police take cash and property from people suspected of a crime, even without a criminal charge, reversing an Obama administration rule prompted by past abuse by police."

Source - do an internet search. I don't know how to archive and I don't want to post a link.

And Trump is very happily for it:

"So asset forfeiture, we're gonna go back on. I mean how simple can anything be. You all agree with that I think? I mean do you even understand the other side on that?" Mr. Trump said at White House round table event.

What the crap??!!! I thought "innocent until proven guilty" was our rule of law? I guess Trump and Sessions just want your property and your money, regardless if you are guilty or innocent. I am so done.

Why is Sessions at fault when Trump issues executive orders that he either doesn't have Sessions review or he endorses Sessions legal reasoning on paper and contradicts it in public?

Honnestly the biggest problem is not him doing stupid things, it's him doing nothing at all what so ever. What has he done? He can't even justify his office. And in addition to not going on the offensive on anything, he recused himself from the Russia nonsense, enabling a Mueller/Hillary hit squad. You can say that Trump has some grand scheme for how to deal with Mueller, but I highly doubt that he initially wanted Sessions to recuse himself. This was Session's biggest fuck up. And it goes back to the old misplaced, ossified honor thing that has kept conservatives from winning for decades. We need a killer, not a boy scout.
>>
>>134280355
Oh, please. As if that ever stopped illegal seizure of property. Why is Session's allowing it, regardless of the fine print? What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?? He is allowing it for people who have NOT been committed of a crime, so innocent people whom they *think(* may have committed a crime. That is bullcrap.

Yes this is very troubling, but in all fairness you can't pin this on Sessions. Trump has been weak on privacy laws and related constitutional principles all around. Maybe, but for different reasons. You can be a staunch constitutionalist and think the government has no right to tell a citizen what he can put in his own body.
