I feel like this is the main point we disagree on. I understand that both Christianity and socialism are altruistic ideologies, but what I disagree with is that Christianity is what is causing socialism's altruism.

I think we need to look at the perspectives of a rich and a poor Christian and socialist. A rich socialist and a rich Christian are both expected to be generous and charitable with their wealth, that much is true. But a poor Christian and socialist differ. The poor socialist is called upon to seize the rich man's wealth, while the poor Christian is called upon to be happy with what he has. This is why the two ideologies tend to be at war, and why I don't believe that Christianity is the cause of socialism's altruism.
