The problem really is this is back in a time where legitimate claims to territory were settled through Military might and ram raiding it.

Turkey will go down in a civil war and NATO and Russia will get somewhat involved, russians mostly to dump weapons and ordinance there, depending on which faction but NATO will be there to protect what ever they can. Only reason they need turkey is because of Bosporus.
Many Greeks will be there aswell, so there will be tensions and provocations between the NATO protected turks and NATO (greeks beating up turks during policing hours).
