Any reason why someone like me should vote for this party?
>>
>>134165373
What if you care a lot about people who don't fall into those categories?
>>
Anyone with a spine would never vote D.
>>
>>134165373
None whatsoever

But I don't lol
>>
>>134165467
Pretty much everyone I know is like me, some women but all straight whites who don't earn minimum wage
>>
Hmm...

Do you perhaps disagree with the 2nd amendment?
>>
>>134165373
That's the only party I've ever belonged to.

Could anybody tell me why I should want to rejoin it?
>>
>>134166082
Kek. Hang yourself if you disagree with any of the bill of rights
>>
No reason what so ever. Leave them behind
>>
>>134166082
I am a strong supporter of the second amendment, the right to self defense is important to the security of a free nation
>>
>>134165373
If you've come to /pol/ for advice, you've already made up your mind.
>>
>>134165373
Nope, they're basically the party of niggers and Islam
>>
>>134165373
>Isaiah 40:17
>original sin
>when it's not hangin off a woman
>Golden Rule
>doesn't understand how fiat money works and votes for the ones that help them the most
Reeeee muh republic party they have nothing to offer you and so forth and so on
>>
>>134165373
democrats are literally the same as republicans in the end, it doesnt matter who you vote for
>>
>>134165373
I live in a blue state and form what I have seen, most people are voting for either the GOP or the DNC just for not liking the other. The two exist because they oppose each other at this point. You can come up with a more individualized political belief system, or you can just end up voting for one of the major parties because you lean left or you lean right and only one of those two major parties is going to win.

It's basically like, people like yourself who get theoretical and question why they should do things, they end up voting for the GOP or DNC anyway because the green party or the liberterian party or anything like that is not going to win.

and this guy has a very good point

the propaganda-ass "news/information" outlets try to pretend that the GOP and the DNC are on opposite ends of the spectrum, but on the actual political spectrum they are very very close, and that's why the country never changes course too much.
>>
>>134167634
>>134165373

on the actual political spectrum, maybe 30 percent of the right/left axis goes

socialism - liberalism - conservatism

and that's basically why the 'democratic' world is so liberal. lots of people are centrist liberals, and the pull of socialists and conservatives basically basically equal out to more centrist compromise and liberalism.
>>
>>134167486
This is the single most rational, reasonable thing I have ever seen on /pol/. They'll certainly kill you for it. Run.
>>
>>134165373
Do you hate yourself and your country?
>>
It sounds like neoliberalism has done well for you, so yes you should vote Democratic as they are responsible for most of the reforms. Don't you want to indulge in greed and decry it at the same time?

thanks.

the theory I stated there (basically fact at this point, if you ask a political analyst or active member of either party) is really inconvenient to a /pol/ user. a /pol/ user is usually a right-winged young person who thinks their internet activity is going to change the world, kind of like those shitposting college students who thought bernie could win. naive.

i'm not very formally educated but I live my life in a pursuit for truth over happiness. it's rough at times, but it's got its benefits. less delusion eventually brings about peace, if you're persistent and patient enough.
>>
>>134168134
if you think everyone voting for the DNC is a loud college student with purple hair then you're living in a distorted reality.
