I never read wheel of Time, but yeah Sanderson is pretty awesome, I love his books but I love his work ethic even more. Guy does multiple books a year and continuously updates his website on how far along he is on each book with accurate completion percentages.
By copying his two blocks of 4-6 hours of working per day and taking a break writing a book by writing another book techniques, I've dramatically increased my work at home productivity. Copying him has literally earned me several extra thousands of dollars a year. Great man.

I just appreciate the fact that I've found an author u really enjoy reading who is only about 40. That means that unlike Martin and Jordan, I'll actually get to see cosmere fleshed out. That's the really interesting thing, all of his books are set in the same universe with subtle hints about how they are connected. He recently released a short story compendium that starts linking them all together. I have yet to read anything he's written that I don't like, although I haven't read Alcatraz and calamity was pretty juvenile and boring.
If you didn't read WoT, I'd say skip it. It's a great story arc that would have made two nice trilogies. There's about 6 books in the middle of it about bimbos pulling their hair, knitting, and being bitches to each other. Not that great.

Sure, but it's not like Martin is the be-all, end-all of fantasy storytelling. He hasn't even finished the ASOIAF series. It's been 6 years now since the last addition, and I suspect we will end up with another Wheel of Time situation, where the original author dies and leaves it to someone else to figure out how to tie the billions of loose ends and plotlines together in a satisfactory manner. And I don't think I would care to see Brandon Sanderson's vision of how the story ends.

In the meantime, there's plenty other (and arguably better) epic fantasy to sink your teeth into.

1) Daenerys white washed of all her flaws. The show completely glosses over the consequences of Daenerys' bad decisions and paints her in a positive light. The book dwells on them and shows how she is incompetent and incapable of even feeding herself or surviving without servants. When she rides drogon out of the fighting pit she ends up starving and diseased, unlikely to survive without the intervention of *men*. IN the show she becomes victim of evil would-be rapist dothraki *men*...

2) Sansa is learning to become a manipulative self-confident seductress and political power player in the book. In the show she is a helpless victim tortured and raped by ramsay.

3) Cersei is a total incompetent in the show, shown to be self-destructing at record pace with bad decision on top of bad decision. In the show she is made into a ruthless mastermind schemer who's plans come to fruition with the destruction of the great Sept. In the books it's shown how cersei bitterly resented Robert and Tyrion's predilections toward alcoholism and hedonistic lust but then ironically succumbs to the same vices when she is subject to the stresses and burdens of responsibility that they were.

4) Show literally ignored all the subtleties of stannis' character and story. Which admittedly are easy to miss.

5) Elimination of Wyman manderly made 'the north remembers' sentiment lack emotional weight.

6) the two most overtly masculine redpilled 'chad' characters Daario and Euron greyjoy are totally nurtured and turned into cuck bitches on the show. the original portrayal of daario by ed skein is much closer to the actual book character. New daario is a bitch. Likewise euron is a complete moron on the show and not even attractive. IN the books he's easily one of the most intelligent, ambitious and dangerous characters.
