They act as if having to pay at all is terrible. But why the fuck did they all take out so much money?
From elementary to high school, teachers (and many parents) tell kids the only way to be successful in life is with a 4 year degree.
The socialist clubs on Australian campuses were trying to get people up in arms about the government lowering the threshold for when we have to start paying ours back. It was after you're earning 40k a year, now its like 35k. They did the math for me about how horrible that is, but when you look at it you're paying back 8 fucking dollars a week. The cunts are just annoyed they have to pay it back at all.

They realized that their 4 year meme degree won't do shit in life and there's people with no degree at all who are working harder and more hours and therefore are better off in life.

Because they should've never been given those loans in the first place. College should've remained a higher learning for the privileged. As it stands now the entire job market is flooded with debt slaves with degrees that are either entirely pointless, or have been rendered pointless by the sheer volume of people who have them.

This. It is hammered repeatedly by every authority figure in a child's life that they MUST go to college or else they will be failures at life. Then they are told it doesn't matter what you go to college for, so many go for what sounds easy or something that is interesting but niche, then wonder why they are poor.
Few know that they were actively sabotaged from birth to be like that.

>8 dollars a week
I owed $52 per week 6 months out. It didn't matter what I made, what mattered was I took out a loan and had to pay enough so it would be paid back after 10 years.
The result? I applied like crazy, worked on my skills, and got a job.

An educated public benefits all of society.
Should society:
A) pay for things that benefit it
B) punish those who benefit it
That's why an education should be free. And why it should be encouraged. And why those of you who don't get one are so thoroughly scorned by employers.
Interviewed my first three candidates for an job, today. Posted it last week and got 60-ish resumes. Needed to thin the herd, so I immediately discarded any without degrees. Was only a $15/hr job. This is your future, you uneducated mass.

because it is, at base, a fucking dumb system which commodifies the principle of higher education, and not everything (in fact, quite a lot of fucking things, actually) do not work best run on a capitalist basis. The students become consumers, the Universities glorified McDonalds, working solely towards their next short-term cashcow herd intake - everyone knows its a shitheap waiting to collapse, only group who truly benefits being the shekel lenders in the Temple, as per.
