Given what I witnessed, and the titles of hundreds of Metropolis presentations, critical discussion was muted. Orthodoxy seemed to reign.

Inflation is increased because rich people already own companies, housing, industry..etc. so they make more money renting out. Of course if your salary doesn't increases you are getting screwed. Furthermore big guys push for monopoly and inflation, which means you got no chance in hell to ever compete, you can only rent from them and that's the whole idea behind inflation. Then there's this idea of cheap disposable labor and debt, which can be sold to rich people themselves who created the debt by stealing from you, which then means they own even more. Money is just a tool to own your ass and out of that loans and debt is created, it's a beautiful thing for international rich people, nothing is better for them.
