Once all the illegals are thrown out there is a legit demand for seasonal workers in low wage jobs that Mexican nationals have traditionally occupied. These jobs are hard work, low pay and only last for a few weeks or months and most Americans are not willing to take them for a variety of reasons.
So, to keep the Apple growers and mellon farmers happy Trump has to allow a reasonable workforce from this source to enter the U.S.A.
