The filters don't work like any kind of matching I know of. I tried to block "/pol " (with only one slash) and it didn't work.

Then the other day someone posted a pic of their filters and it had stuff like "word1 | word2 | word3" in there. And it seems like the filter works on whole-word searches only.

Curious and can't find an answer in FAQ or elsewhere....
The other day I posted to a thread _ Ukraine and Russia. There were 47 posts. I came back 5 hours later. It was gone. Nowhere to be found in "archive". Ok.. Weird, but *shrug* meh, carry on.
Today, put 3 posts to a Russia - China thread. It had about 150? posts. Come back less than 2 hrs later..... It's gone.... And not in archive.
What's that about?
These were genuine political discussion with minimum shrills.... Where'd these threads go???

I've checked FAQ I can't see anything that would explain this.... I only 82 per cent care... I mean, it's /pol/.... I've got more things in life to get concerned about.... But ... It bugs me when I can't follow why something has happened.
Why would threads that were new, and under 300 posts just vanish?
