From Tauranga, studying in Dunedin.
I only visit Auckland briefly when I do but the memes seem pretty true from what I've seen. The rest of the country is pretty comfy though.

It's pretty dire up here. There's no sense of community like down south, and I know this because I grew up in blenheim/christchurch where you could say hi to someone passing by and get a gday in return. Real estate signs and billboards are in chinese, they ain't even trying to hide it.
House prices, in Auckland have lost the plot, my partner and I both have decent paying jobs and we wouldn't get a look in. Only viable option for us is to build outside the city and commute in to work.

Iv'e become accustomed to it but occasionally you can play spot the white guy and legit never see one, even in the city centre.
I have to say though some of the nicest guys I see on a daily basis are folks from overseas so its hard to say fuck all these immigrants.
