My great Grandfather was in The Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment during september 1918. He was stationed with Henry Tandey, he was nearby and saw when Henry encountered a German soldier who was wounded, he did not shoot him. My Great Grandfather said it was the first time he saw humaity within the war. He and Henry were somewhat close during this time, they did not contact eachother after the war. Did Henry do the right thing?
