Hello and good morning.
>>
Fuck public sector workers

>They are well paid compared to many private sector jobs
>They have much better pensions than the private sector
>They get paid holidays
>They have job security

They then have the gall to complain about muh 1% when that's more than a lot of us are getting. They still get incremental pay rises.

Meanwhile lots of us are on contracts (some 0 hours)
>We have no job security, we can be fired with no notice.
>Our pensions are shit.
>If we don't work we don't get paid.
>Banks won't give us mortgages.

Fuck the public sector and their whining, its all me, me, me with them. Not once on Question time have I seen a public sector worker stick up for anyone but themselves.

They don't know how good they have it, Fuck em.

Well thats the classic dilemma for young lads who end up with this mindset. You probably won't find the real help you need here online, indeed the internet is generally the cause of such situations.

You'll have to force yourself and fight through all those shite feelings in order to just get out and do something.

My best mate was in a similar situation to you many years ago. I was his only friend, he'd avoid working, going to university, even going to the pub was a big deal. He'd prefer to stay in all weekend working on a crate of Miller and watching telly. I convinced him to join the Army (I was already in 2 years at this point) and it was the best thing that happened to him. It forced him to change, took him out of his comfort zone where he couldn't overthink things. Now he works for an oil company in Texas, has a wife and daughter, lives a happy life.

So you have to do something out of your comfort zone. Commit to something that makes you change your routine that you have currently. I'd consider the military or even the merchant navy. I am presuming your young enough.

The only other thing I do as a way of staying balanced is go on religious retreat once per year. You don't have to be religious to go on them really, just look at it as a time for reflection. I go a Catholic one here in Ireland in a monastery where the monks are sworn to silence and the guests have to respect that too once outside of their lodgings. It gives you great clarity and calmness just walking around in nature for a week, not having to talk to anyone or feel that pressure to. You're around other people who are there for the same reasons as you and you just nod and smile when you see them, no pressure. I'd say it would be helpful for socially awkward people to kind of ween themselves off their problems.

Doing anything is better than doing nothing.

Well like all our history has shown we have always been in the driving seat. Same applies with this path of self destruction we've been going along.

A collapse almost certainly would wake up people to the realities of their situation and you are right when you say the sooner it happens the better because at least you will have demographic percentages on your side for the next few decades.

They had mobiles in the 80s, they just weren't a thing among the general populace. Either someone very well off, or entities with specialised needs. In-car phones were also a thing for a while.

As for internet, it was around in some shape or form in the 80s. It started out as a way for research institutions and universities to fetch and retrieve documents over long distances and it gradually evolved from that.

Well I was in the British army from 2005 until 2013. If I am honest with you I didn't do it for the love of your (or my now adopted) country. That came later as a result of my service.

Putting all that aside though, if you join for your own reasons of sorting out your life then its the place to go. You don't even necessarily have to go fight overseas or anything like that. My mate for example became a dog handler and never left the UK for any serious amount of time. They will build you up into the person you want to be and most importantly what I feel many young people lack these days, is that they will get your to a level of confidence you would never believe you had in yourself. You aren't allowed be bad at whatever job you decide to do, so when you're finished training you can be certain that you can be confident in yourself. You'll have achieved something.

Regarding the retreat, the place I go is called Mellifont Abbey in Co.Louth. The Abbey has been open and taking guests since 1148, I presume their vows of silence have been running since then. I don't really go to the Church services as I am not a Catholic but the few times I have gone, its usually an outside priest brought in to say mass. The monks never break their vows.

Sure the UK isnt perfect

>free health care for those with life style diseases from obesity and smoking.
>free medice for gay aids carriers so they dont have to use a rubber
>even free sex changes for cying out loud!

But i mean would you really want to have a sytem where ex war vets, pensioners and soon to be mothers are refused the health services they need when they are unable to pay?

Well whatever you do, just make sure you do something. I'd be a liar if I said I didn't love/hate my time in Afghanistan and Iraq, Its an experience I'd never give up but you do feel pretty shit when you realise that you and your mates were used in a meme tier war. As such, I'd recommend going for a trade in the military, especially aviation. You won't be short of job offers when you leave.

I'm getting bit long in the tooth for /pol/ at this stage but the one thing that the place has shown me is that our society doesn't give a shit about the development of young lads into confident and stable men. I don't say that as a dig at you or any one else that feel they are in the same boat, I'm not surprised that many of you feel the way you do when what you are has been under attack for most of the developmental stages of life. Traditional, natural male behaviours and attitudes are discouraged and punished.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Just give it a go getting outside and doing stuff. If you're at the stage where you're considering sudoku then what else have you got to lose? As the saying goes "Its a long term solution to a short term problem".

I mean i will never join a trades union in my life never.

I mean they dont give a shit about workers being downtrodden, all they care about is going with what fits their egalitarian agenda.
>"no transgender bathroom, lets strike!"
>He wont employ his quota of minorites lets strike!"
>"this company hasn't employed women in the top 10 earning employes lets strike!"

They used to care about genuine workers rights like unsafe conditions and factory closures, but those days have long passed now they have been corupted by Jewish intrests and now only further work to corrupt working people over to the side of egalitarian thinking.

Theres cheap and theres cheap, to a father paying for his wifes delivery of their child that could mean the diffrence of paying the rent, and being homeless without a pot to piss in.

I mean such a policy would be detremental to the white birth rate somwthing we need to increace more than ever if we want to survive.

Inb4 "but the state will pay if he can not".
What you are proposing is that the poor get it free yet the rich have to pay, thats sounds alot like a pseudo bolshevik sytem.

I propose a free sytem for all ethnic british citizens, a sytem where those more well off can choose to opt for a higher standard of healthcare or have such procedures undertaken that arent covered by the national sytem such as boob jobs and hollywood smiles.

I would prefer the more humbler notion of a barter economy, beyond the time of banks and cental banks however such a sytem is so far out of reach that the likeliehood of ever going back to such a sytem is nigh on impossible.

However the idea of a nationalised central bank, free from jewish control that prohibits the ammasing of intrest capital, whilst offering intrest free loans now that i could go for.

To volitile, and has holea in it that can be subverted besides what happens when technolgy becomes useless civilsation will colapse.
A barter economy on the other hand is so simple yet so effective take for example

"Alright m8 ill share this zoot with you if you let me finger your sis round the back of the chippy?"
"Deal m8."

Let me futher add that such a sytem is free from the contraints of price fixing and loans in the form of bank notes.
It is a sytem that is aggreed between the buyer and seller, not some hook nosed banker siting in an office miles away adjusting the price of what he thinks "x" is worth.

It is the fairest and most effective sytem that is failure proof, that worked well for our ancestors ever since cavemen traded sticks and rocks, that was until the jews came along and fucked everything up with the idea of banks and loans.

I mean lets face it Britian is fucked there is no cure for the disease of egalitarianism that has infected its core, all that can be done is to simply rip the root up from the ground burn it and plant a disease free sapling in its place.

So why not simply start claiming neet bux put a strain on the economy, and further aid the cause of inpening civil unrest
And when the time is right leap from the shadows with other like minded indviduals and put everything back into place the way it was originally by use of any means neccesary?

Are the scrapping of tuition fees an impossible meme?

Every young person I meet seems to be voting Labour primarily because of this policy but if they're currently paying to study what difference would it make?

You couldn't just erase the debt of people who studied in the last five years or so because then the people who studied before that would complain. They would either have to erase everybody's tuition debt or make it free from a set point in the future leaving those who voted him in with debt anyway.

>poor get it free yet the rich have to pay

But that's exactly how it is now. The poor get it free, everyone else pays for it through tax.

If we followed the swiss system the free market competition would not only drive down prices, it'd drive down waiting times and increase overall quality of care.
You'd also see competition for wages of staff and doctors which would help us retain our native talent, encourage our own citizens to train as healthcare professionals and put an end to the problem of barely literate 3rd worlders staffing our hospitals as all our white doctors and nurses fuck off abroad to get paid a decent wage.

It works so very well there and would work so much better here than the current, bloated, ineffectual NHS system.

I really can not stand the NHS unwarranted sanctity.
It was great when the country was almost entirely ethnic whites and everyone worked and payed their fair share of tax.
Now it's just another overly bureaucratic, over managed, ineffectual institution that pours half it's funding into bullshit as the quality of healthcare drops year after year after year.

Our economy is built upon financial services which recruit from all degree disciplines but - given the work they do - obviously place a premium on those degrees with a significant "quantitative" component i.e. lots of maths and being able to use a computer.

If you have any mathematical ability at all in this economy, you're already well ahead of your peers. If you can't leverage a physics degree into a half-decent job, you're fucking up somewhere. Helps if you went to an RG uni too.

I'd advise against that.

What point is there in going to Uni to do something you have no interest in just to get a decent gig at the end of it?

Firstly, do you think you can stick out a reasonably difficult course for 4 whole years when it's something you have absolutely no interest or passion for?
Secondly, can you see yourself working in that field for the rest of your life because that's all you will be qualified to do?

I've known a lot of people to go to Uni, usually at the behest of their parents, to get fancy degrees in medicine or engineering only to come out, get good jobs and then realise that they really absolutely hate their field and that they should have realised when they were studying and miserable that it was not meant for them.

I would advise pretty much everyone to leave school, get a job/trade and work for 4-5 years. That way you get a chance to feel things out. You get a chance to develop skills and experience and an appreciation for the working world.
You may find that you're content working your way up through the trades or into management at your job.
You may find that you hate it and realise that you'd really like to do a degree in something.
If you save the whole time you're going to have a good bit of money to help your through Uni without having to bank on student loans or a good bit of money to get you setup on the other side.

For the majority of people uni at 18 is a great big mistake; even the ones capable of doing well. Most of them do either a useless degree or a good degree that they actually hate.

They'd have already done this if it wouldn't show outright that women and minorities cause by far the majority of issues.

If this were implemented it would take about 5 years for every black and asian driver to have their licence revoked. Great for other road users but obviously something so 'racist' would never be permitted.

Why even bother talking about a free market? The only place an unsubsidised free market has existed is in the third world.

The developed countries only managed to do so due to state power massively distorting the market and operating all the levers of state power to ensure what they want to be produced is produced.

Germany’s eight biggest provincial cities, including Munich, Hamburg, Cologne and Frankfurt, all have GDPs per head above the German national average. Of England’s eight, all except Bristol are well below the national average, and have been for decades. Cities such as Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield may have been devastated by 20th-century deindustrialisation, but then so were all Europe’s cities.

The difference is that Britain’s have failed to recover. None other than Nottingham is even a net contributor to the nation’s wealth. These cities absorb more in public spending than they generate in tax.

Since 2010, growth has risen in London by 29%, but in provincial cities by under half that, and the gap is widening.

The south-east gets more spending on transport infrastructure than the entire rest of the country. The mother of all rail projects, HS2 (now topping £100bn), will primarily benefit the capital, as will the new Heathrow and Crossrail 2. London gets a new railway because ministers experience the overcrowding. They subsidise its operas and museums because they use them. Outside London is “here be dragons” territory.

Nothing could do MPs more good than to spend a solid five years outside the capital, occupying the hinterland of a nation they have neglected so long.

A logical argument against scrapping tuition fees would be thus:

Scrapping tuition fees would be paid for through increased borrowing, so people graduating now would still have to pay for their tuition in the future + whatever interest has accrued on the national debt through taxes.

HOWEVER

The current system is completely fucked because the Government has allowed the private companies which own the student debt to put up the interest rates to ridiculous amounts (8%ish), and they can get away with this because students have basically no choice over the matter; and also because the taxpayer in the future will have to pick up the vast amounts of student loan debt which is not paid off by the graduate (+the aforementioned interest).

The current system is basically impossible to defend, so unfortunately Corbyn's retarded idea is no worse than what the Tories are doing now.

A GPS signal wouldn't be required all the time. I assume if it cuts out the car would take it's last known position, keep on driving via the cameras and use things like known velocity to keep on mapping as you go. Presumably these cars will still have wheels for a manual over-ride anyway.
There's far too much money behind it at this point for it to be a meme, there's obviously an expectation of return on the investment.

It's absolutely coming, there's no doubt about it whatsoever. Driverless cars (and electric, for that matter) have been floating around in some way, but the technology hasn't been quite there. Once it is (and it very nearly is), they'll take over, and take over fast.

Think of smartphones - the iphone was only introduced 10 years ago. That might seem an absolute age to you whippersnappers, but to me 2007 really isn't that long ago. All of the technologies in it had been floating around in one form or another, but they had been too expensive, inconvenient, or shitty to catch on. Companies had produced smartphones and tablets, but none of them had succeeded. It was a matter of a few short years from the release of the iphone to smartphones becoming ubiquitous. Nokia went from being the biggest mobile phone company on earth to near bankruptcy in next to no time. By 2012, or even earlier, the smartphone had taken over.

Electric, driverless cars will be the same. There are obstacles of legislation, but governments and companies are working to overcome them. Batteries can provide hundreds of miles of range on a half hour charge now, not just a few dozen on an overnight one. Systems are in roadworthy cars which can do a better job of predicting and avoiding accidents than humans can. Once a car company releases an affordable car (and they're not far off) which can ferry you from A to B while you sleep, nobody will ever buy a car that they have to drive themselves again.

Governments are keen because self driving cars promise to absolutely slash congestion, pollution, and road traffic deaths (not to meantion the economic growth that comes with a technological step-change). I'd go so far as to predict that it will become illegal to drive your own car in several developed nations within a matter of decades, and kids being born today will be absolutely incredulous when their teachers tell them that huge numbers of people used to die on the roads.

Found what I was talking about, they have a numerus clausus
>There are local admission restrictions, which are set up for a particular degree program (Studiengang) at the university's discretion, and nationwide admission restrictions in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy. Not all degree programs restrict admissions. The most common admission criterion is the final grade of the university entrance qualification, that is the school leaving certificate formally allowing the applicant to study at a German university. Typically, this is the Abitur. The final grade takes into account the grades of the final exams as well as the course grades. In colloquial usage, numerus clausus may also refer to the lowest admitted grade in this process. Other criteria, e.g. interviews, are increasingly common as well.

Current prediction from people in the business is for fully autonoumous cars to be available in 2 years. Tesla are already shipping their cars with all of the hardware required included, so that it's a matter of a software upgrade in order to enable it. I know that they're a small player, but they're one that's at the forefront of the technology. Really, it'll be sooner than you think, the main obstacle is legislative (and like I say, governments are in favour of making this happen).
