We're not really getting that wall, are we.

We'll just have to wait and see.

No the republicans in the congress and moreso the senate are distancing themselves from the inevitable implosion. They are talking nice to not piss off Trump voters but know what a toxic mess the administration has become.
He has paid talking heads who will inevitably go down with the ship but he throws people under the bus with such impunity only an idiot would back him seriously.
In the end, Trump will be the fall guy the Republicans need and he serves the purpose of not advancing the democratic agenda. Overall though, nothing of value will be achieved; neither tax reform, nor the wall, nor health care. Any small changes to regulation will be reversed during the next democratic administration and the world will keep turning. A small black blip in the history of America.
>>
>>133776469
If Trump fails, the Republican party will end. If they want to have a future they had better work with Trump and hope he succeeds. This is their last chance, after this if they fail they will lose their voters forever. Just like the whig party. I know that they are stupid enough to let that happen too.
>>
>>133777616
Maybe that is what needs to happen. It was fractured going into the election and there was real talk of a separation between the Tea party types and more moderates before Trump's surprise victory.
Consider the fact that they hold all 3 branches of government and still can't get a bill passed. A 3 party system would force compromise but would also serve to end the polarization in American politics. People would be forced to make deals and a president like Trump could actually be effective.
As it stands right now, even the greatest of ideas will not be supported by the democrats based on party affiliation. There is no more room for free thought, it is simply large scale group think. I don't believe this was what the founding fathers had in mind for the country.

>>
>>133776469
>but know what a toxic mess the administration has become.

yeah, of course they are just now learning that trump is bad. They had a lot of faith in him and also tried to help him build the administration. But Trump was insufferable and he appointed his friends and scandalous figures. Now the GOP knows that Trump is a problem, and they will do something about it.
>>
>>133779410
>they will do something about it
They may try to look like the "heroes" if public opinion absolutely drops to near zero. As of right now, those up for re-election in 2018 are going to play it safe unless something Yuge drops and they can try to come out looking like heroes.
Senators who have just been re-elcted (like McCain(2016 and Graham 2014) will be the first to turn because they won't expect him to be re-elected in 2020. After 2018, we will see more in congress and almost all of the senate turn because only a handful will fear reprisals from the electorate.
Even though he helped achieve the majorities, Trump has the unfortunate obstacle of having to fight through 2 hostile houses of government and there isn't much he can really do to "make America great again"
The sad fact is that draining the swamp is a lot more difficult than it sounds.

As much as I'd like to see it happen, there just isn't the support for it. If 8 years of nigger presidency didn't trigger it, absolutely nothing will, not a Jew, not a Mexican and not a Transgendered Xhe dog fucking pedophile.
The ideal candidate is in office, with "ideal" conditions for change in the house and the senate and we still don't see any substantial change.
It is monotony, from now to eternity.
>>

Learn to read between the lines, desu. The "wall" was always a metaphor, against increasing globalisation and mass immigration. He can still achieve these things, but you're fucking delusional if you ever thought he was genuinely going to BUILD A FUCKING WALL ALONG THE ENTIRETY OF THE BORDER BETWEEN MEXICO AND THE U.S.

Like, come on dude. Are/were you really that naive?
>>
>>133785830
>Are/were you really that naive?
Look, I don't particularly care about metaphors. I thought there was finally a guy who tells it like it is. We need to protect the borders and reduce immigration. The wall was supposed to at least reduce illegal immigration. Now apparently that's not possible anymore. So I guess new talking point is fence. Tomorrow that will be nonsense, and no one ever thought about the fence either. Then they will start talking about drones. Meanwhile, the immigration from overseas is not being addressed at all. So please explain to me how is this any different from Jeb administration? And please without metaphors, I'm not sophisticated enough to understand those.
>>
>>133785165
Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same shekel.

>>133775321
Here's an idea... ditch the wall and just mine the everloving shit out of the mexican border. It would be a faster and more effective method of keepin em out.

Look, I don't have all the answers, but what I do know is that people in the West are starting to talk about things regarding immigration, race and ethnicity, Western civilisation, globalisation and Islam, that would have been taboo, just a few short years ago. This is a DIRECT result of Donald Trump. For all his faults, he's opened Pandora's box and we should all be eternally grateful to him.
>>
>>133787107
I'm thankful, but that's not how it works. He can't just go silent now. Every day is a new fight and some things should move. Issues that won him the election have not been addressed yet. I don't even hear serious discussions about the issues. It's not all his fault, but he should carry most of the responsibility. This feels very much like caving in, but at somewhat lower pace

Now they're pissing off Japan with the South China Sea bullshit because they are over fishing. Their economy is based off of massive commodity consumption and incredible birth rates. They can't stop or they'll collapse... conversely if they don't stop they'll collapse. Now no free (((Climate))) money.

this is how clogged up and useless the USA has become now. they cant even get their own public servants to enforce their laws, let alone carry out the will of the people. the same people who built mount rushmore and the hoover dam and went to the moon (i guess) and developed the nuclear weapon think that its just CRAZY to do a large scale construction project nowdays because you cant stop squabbling amongst yourselves for 5 seconds. for a country that is basically borderline socialist, you sure as shit cant into collective action these days. everything seems so big and impossible to you now. remember how long it took to build a WTC twin towers memorial? like over a decade, and it was steeped in corruption throughout the process and nobody even gave a fuck. the USA has truly lost its way, youre now a nation surviving solely off cash-loan businesses, convenience stores and pawn shops. you cunts are on borrowed time. you people legitimately need to stamp out political corruption through the barrel of a rifle. your public servants on both sides of the aisle need to be either so afraid of defying the will of the people, or too afraid to run unless theyre true believers willing to lay down their lives for the country. the fact that the wall is just some conceptual pipedream that you never really think can happen is a joke. its just a goddamn wall. people used to look up to you fat fucks and believe your propaganda for christs sake, and there was good reason - because you BUILT shit. glimmering towers and skyscrapers and monorails and wind farms and highways, las vegas and silicon valley. get your shit together. you fat faggots just tolerate being fucked over, as though the more corrupt a person is the more acceptable their corruption is - "oh yahhhh, thats just Hillary, shes ALWAYS corrupt. dont worry about her". start using social media to elect your own representatives, doesnt even matter who they are, do SOMETHING you cucks

without the USA to uncuck the world, we are lost. there are only 25 million people in my country and our standing army is 15000 people and we have a fuckload of land to try and defend if anything ever happens. i just hope USA can start electing "unqualified" politicians soon using social media and shit. its not like their job is complicated, these arent intelligent people in the congress and senate, look at them in interviews, theyre basically fucked in the head and they dont even spend the time reading the bills they pass anyway and they basically work 6 weeks a year. imagine putting a jesse ventura in power, or joe bloggs who used to manage the wal-mart who isnt a scumbag who has to look his family straight in the face at night and actually feel some sense of duty towards his fellows. you could unfuck yourselves, not easily, but it is possible. you really dont need genius level people to do this either, just regular folks who would be able to all work together for the common good. the power is finally in your hands without needing to resort to violence against politicians, but if it comes to that then so be it. career politicians are next-level psychopaths and they need to go for good. the only reason the founding fathers were morally upright is because they werent politicians first, they were scientists and generals and shit like that. the Ted Cruz/elizabeth warren creepy politician pedigree has to become extinct, and they deserve to be hanged as traitors for what theyve done.

Anyone who wants the pointless wall is dumb enough to vote for that blowhard and deserves to pay ore taxes for the parts they might actually build. Of course, that won't be the parts on Indian land, ranchers property, along the rio grand or any of the other hundreds of miles that you can't build a wall along. You guys are fucking idiots. Ever think about reading up on a subject before PT Barnum convinces you to buy something?.
